Tina Malone and husband Paul Chase's reunion after split as he dies aged 42
Tina Malone has been left heartbroken by the sudden death of her husband Paul Chase.
There were 19 years between 61-year-old soap actress Tina and her younger husband Paul - with whom she shares an 11-year-old daughter named Flame. The former Brookside star also has a 39-year-old daughter named Danielle, who she welcomed when she was 18 and was forced to give up for adoption.
Tina has been an open book about her personal life over the years and has shared details about her romantic and married life. She stunned fans on Wednesday when she announced that her husband had passed away - with fans rallying around her to offer support.
However, Tina and Paul’s relationship was far from plain sailing and they endured a split five years before his shock death. The couple reconciled and were living happily after facing adversity together before Paul suddenly passed away. Here are the main details of Tina and Paul’s marriage.

Tina Malone and Paul Chase began dating in 2008 and two years later they tied-the-knot. The duo allowed cameras to document their big day - which was part of a reality show titled Celebrity Four Weddings.

The show also saw Debbie Mcgee and the late Paul Daniels renew their wedding vows, glamour model Linsey McKenzie renew her vows with footballer Mark Williams, and former Big Brother contestant Spencer Smith tie-the-knot with Jo Neeson. Tina and Paul won the show with their wedding.
In 2017, Tina and Paul - who had by then welcomed their daughter, Flame, in 2013, arriving when Tina was 50 - planned to renew their vows. Tina had lost an incredible 12 stone in weight and dreamed of having a glamorous ceremony. She told Closer magazine at the time: “I've always had the dream of being the perfect bride, so I thought: ‘Why not do it again?’ I'm the youngest I've ever felt.”

In 2019, Tina and Paul’s marriage hit the rocks - with the pair splitting and Tina demanding a divorce. Tina announced the shock news at the time via social media, writing: “With great sadness i wrote this myself and paul have split up after 11 yrs together!”
The incident came following a two-year period which Tina described as “two years of hell” in which she was arrested for being in possession of cocaine while performing in panto - and she later plead guilty of sharing an apparent photograph of someone who was in witness protection. Paul had also endured difficulties, having lost his job and struggled to find more work.
While Tina insisted the cocaine had been planted on her, she was given a given an eight-month prison sentence which was suspended for two years for contempt of court over the fact she’d shared a photo of a protected person.
Reunion and shock death
In February 2020, Tina and Paul reconciled - as the pair realised they couldn’t face divorce or life without each other. Opening up to Closer magazine at the time, Tina said: “The love never went away… We’re working on things now. Our problems were compounded by depression, but I’ve learned that, in tough times, you have to pull together and not apart.”
On Wednesday 13 March 2024, Tina made the shock announcement that Paul had died. She shared the news via social media, writing on X: “It’s with total heartbreak I write this my husband Paul chase Malone passed away this morning we are totally devastated.”
Fans of the star rallied around her as they shared condolences. One wrote in response: “I am so sorry for your heartbreaking loss. My thoughts are with you and Flame." And another typed: "Oh Tina, that's so sad. I'm sorry to hear that. Take lots of time and be kind to yourself."
