Shameless and Brookside star Tina Malone's husband dies
Brookside star Tina Malone's husband Paul Chase has died, the actress announced.
She married Paul - who was in his early forties - in 2010, with the two announcing their separation in 2019 after 11 years together. However, they reconciled their marriage in February 2020. In heartbreaking news, Tina, 61, took to her social media on 13 March to announce the news of his death.
"It’s with total heartbreak I write this my husband Paul Chase Malone passed away this morning we are totally devastated," the Shameless actor posted. Fans took to the comment section to pay tribute to her husband, with one user writing: "Sorry to hear this. Sending my love and deepest condolences."
Another said: "So sorry for yours and your families loss. Sending strength at this difficult time," while one fan commented: "So sorry to hear this Tina sending my love to you and your family."

They quickly found their way back to each other a number of months later.

In 2020, the soap star said their relationship was back to normal and said their 'love never went away.' The couple share one daughter called Flame, now 11, who she welcomed when she was 50 years old. Tina also has a daughter named Danielle from a previous marriage. There is a 32-year age gap between her two children.
Speaking in a candid interview with Closer magazine a few years ago, Tina said she realised that the problems in her marriage stemmed from depression and recognising that it was better to 'pull together rather than fall apart' ended up saving her relationship with long-term love Paul.
The mum said the break-up occurred after a troubled two-year period. She said: "The love never went away, we're working on things now, our problems were compounded by depression but I learned that in tough times you have to pull together and not apart. We were either arguing, bickering or not talking at all, I'd end up putting Flame to bed and falling asleep next to her.
"Paul and I had always had a great sex life but were barely touching each other. At one point, we didn't have sex for five months." Tina is best known for her role as Mimi Maguire in Shameless and Mo McGee in Brookside. The star has also appeared on Loose Women as a guest alongside her husband.
