Meghan Markle would struggle more in the UK than her husband Prince Harry, as a royal expert claims she doesn't have "as many favourable followers".

The Duchess of Sussex would have less support from the British public compared to Harry, as the public has followed his journey from boy to man and watched him grow up after the loss of his mother Princess Diana as well as coming of age. A royal expert has now revealed that Meghan is seen as 'annoying' the public here in the UK, and as such would struggling to 'rebuild her image' or gather support.

Harry and Meghan, who stepped back from being working royals in 2020, have been vocal about their experience in the royal family, which has caused tensions and strain on their relationship with senior royals including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate.

Speaking to GB News, America royal correspondent Pandora Forsyth said: "I think it is highly unlikely [Meghan can rebuild her UK image], due to the fact that she's married Harry and together they have annoyed the British public.

"As well as this they've annoyed the British media. We were all behind them when they got married, and then the Fabulous Four. We were behind that as well. But since then, ultimately it's just gone downhill and they've released secrets in quite a brash abrupt and insensitive way to the Royal Family and that will annoy people."

She continued as she spoke on the Marc Dolan show: "I think the British public has seen Harry grow from a boy to a man. They've known him for longer and therefore they might have a bit of a soft spot for him. Unfortunately, Meghan hasn't grown up in the spotlight here and therefore she doesn't have as many favourable followers in the UK."

Meghan and Harry are thought to be the subject of a new book by royal commentator and author Omid Scobie, with his forthcoming release titled Royal Spin. The controversial author, who is known as Meghan Markle's 'mouthpiece' as the Duchess admitted that a former aide gave the author help with his first book Finding Freedom, is said to be releasing a fiction book rather than a non-fiction read with his new piece set to follow the story of a "young American woman who leaves a press role at the White House for one at Buckingham Palace."

He will be co-writing the tome with US young adult fiction author Robin Benway, with it being billed as a "fun, fish-out-of-water romantic workplace comedy." Omid previously made headlines with his release of Endgame in November 2023, and he co-authored Finding Freedom in 2020.
