Amy Dowden wows in black bikini while lapping up sunshine on lavish holiday

Amy Dowden was all smiles as she celebrated being cancer-free in Marrakech.

The Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer recently revealed she won't get the "all clear" until she's been cancer-free for five years but a recent medical showed there was "no evidence of disease". Now, the 33-year-old is making the most of her recent health update and jetted off to Morocco.

While kicking back with her Strictly co-star Carlos Gu, Amy has been documenting their holiday for their social media followers and it appears she's having a whale of a time. The pair have been soaking up the sun in a luxury resort and Amy ensured she would get an all-over tan as she lapped up the exotic sunshine.

Taking to Instagram in view of her 660,000 followers, she appeared to be in high spirits as she relaxed while wearing a black bikini top and flowing skirt. Kicking her leg high in the air, the Welsh beauty smiled at the camera while relaxing on a sprawling sun lounger. In another update, Amy revealed she was feeling reflective as she stopped her night out with Carlos and her twin sister to admire a floral display.

Sharing a snap alongside a rose bush, she said: "Stop and smell the roses. After the past few months this quote is one I remind myself of daily 'You're only here for a short visit. Don't hurry. Don't worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.' Having such a lovely time with my twin @becky_dowden and it's so lush @gkx_carlos booked on for a surprise."

Fans and celebrity pals were quick to compliment Amy in the comment section of the upload which has received over 40,000 likes. "You look beautiful!!," gushed one. While a second added: "Pretty flowers but a far prettier lady." "Oh gosh, you are so beautiful! Such an inspiration," exclaimed another.

Meanwhile, a fourth doting fan penned: "Can we just appreciate just how beautiful you look @amy_dowden." Another typed: "Your hair is beautiful. Looking amazing Amy!" Amy recently transformed her appearance after dying her hair bright blonde, telling fans it was "just a bit of fun."

Speaking on The One Show to host Alex Jones about her recent health update, she said: "Yes, there is no evidence of disease. I can't get the all-clear for about five years but words I dreamed of." The star previously revealed she was diagnosed with cancer while filming the new show and called on her fellow Strictly stars for help. "They came to the rescue because I did get diagnosed with breast cancer whilst we started the series. I gave them a call and it was a lovely surprise for each of the contributors as well. It was brilliant," she said.

Amy was told that she had breast cancer in May 2023, and then after having a mastectomy, she was told by doctors that she had secondary cancer, which she continued to be treated for until recently when she was told there was no evidence of disease.
