CBB fans believe they know why Fern Britton cried after Sharon Osbourne snub
Celebrity Big Brother viewers believe they figured out the real reason former This Morning star Fern Britton got emotional after Sharon Osbourne nominated her.
On Monday's episode of the ITV show, Lauren Simon, Louis Walsh and Zeze Millz were told they had the most votes and were at risk of facing the public vote. However, Sharon was given the power to save one housemate from the vote and she ended up choosing YouTube star Zeze.
The twists were not over though, as Sharon then found out she needed to replace Zeze with another star to nominate. She decided to nominate Fern, who is now up for eviction alongside Lauren and Louis. Sharon said her decision was because there was an age divide in the house.
"I just think that there are us ones that are a bit older stick out like a sore thumb," Sharon explained. "I'm not ageist at all, and Fern is so much younger than me. I am just saying that, for the house, people have gone off in their groups and they are happy." Fern soon went to the diary room and teared up while discussing Sharon's decision.
The presenter said she understood Sharon's reasons and added: "This is a game and it's been fun. I am loving people. It's an experience, a great experience, for an oldie, an old timer." Many fans flocked to social media to share their thoughts about Fern tearing up, with some believe it's because Sharon called her 'old'.
Reality TV personality Stephen Bear faces court over fence row with council"Fern Britton might getting on a bit, but no dinosaur," one viewer said but many thought it was because she wanted to save herself from eviction. One posted: "Fern crying in the diary room will make people save her over Queen Lauren…. we need to rally," while another added: "Fern crying [crying face emoji] VOTE TO SAVE IMMEDIATELY."
It follows the first eviction of the series on Friday night, as Gary Goldsmith was booted out of the famous house. He had been nominated by Sharon earlier in the week, while Lauren soon joined him as a nominated housemate. Viewers were given the chance to vote ahead of Friday’s live eviction, and as it finally arrived hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu announced which star was leaving
Meanwhile, lodger Sharon - who is married to Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne - is set to be leaving the series after only a week in the house.
