John Lewis rivals Boots with £45 beauty box worth over £190

High street retailer that rivals the likes of Boots, LookFantastic and Cult Beauty. The British retailer has released their with one product inside worth £30 more than the price you pay.

Priced at £45, the haul features an assortment of nine deluxe and full-size icons, with , including full-size favourites from Rodial, Lumene and Patchology.

The most expensive product in the box is a full-sized - way more than the cost of the box, rendering everything else essentially ‘free’. The soothing moisturiser is designed for sensitive skin that is experiencing dryness and redness, and leaves a matte, smooth finish ready for applying makeup.

On the the cream has a 4.1 star rating from shoppers, with most of the concerns being its high price point, which is somewhat eliminated by the beauty box. One said: “Lovely cream, ideal for keeping your skin happy in cold, windy weather. Really soothed my dry skin and helped with any redness. Quite a rich cream which needed to be massaged in - best not to use too much. My skin felt nourished and hydrated, but I feel the price is too high.”

Another added: “Really impressed with this cream! Thick consistency and scent-free, but applies quite easily and really does leave skin feeling silky smooth with a matte finish. Normally with other nourishing creams, skin can look glowy- which depending on your skin type can look borderline greasy, this is not that. Additionally, running your hands over your face several hours later, skin feels like silk. Really nice for the colder months as a day cream.”
