Friends star Courteney Cox has been seen having what appears to be a difficult conversation with daughter Coco Arquette.

The actress and her 19-year-old daughter had an animated and frank discussion whilst heading through London's Heathrow Airport. Whilst Coco pointed fingers and waved her hands in an expressive manner, her mum appeared stony-faced and staring straight ahead as her teenage daughter continued to let rip.

59-year-old Courteney, who is best known for her roles as Monica in Friends and Gale Weathers in the Scream movies, wore blue denim jeans and an oversized black jacket as she headed through the airport following the trip to the UK. Coco wore a similarly dressed down look with brown sweats and trainers.

The pair attended a Scream 6 premiere in New York earlier this month, where the mother daughter duo appeared all smiles and close as they posed on the red carpet. Coco, who Courteney shares with her ex husband David Arquette, and her mum share a close bond with Courteney previously opening up about her struggle to get pregnant and taking five years to have children. Speaking to NBC News in May 2004, Courteney explained: "It was really weird because everyone in my family has kids. I mean, they pop out like it’s nobody’s business. No one in my family has a problem. So to me, I just thought this would not be a problem at all."

Last year Courteney also opened up after the tragic death of co-star Matthew Perry, who played her on screen husband Chandler Bing in Friends. The actor was reportedly found unresponsive in his hot tub when his assistant returned from running an errand for him and the emergency services were called, but he was sadly confirmed to have passed away aged 54. Speaking after his death, Courteney shared a heartbreaking tribute to her co-star and long time friend on Instagram, explaining his key role in changing a now iconic Friends scene.

She wrote: "I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day. When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here’s one of my favorites.

"To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind."

The Mirror has reached out to Cox's representatives for comment.
