Katie Price to appear in court today over new driving offences
Katie Price is set to appear in court accused of driving without insurance and without a licence.
The former glamour model is due to appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday afternoon. The 45-year-old is accused of driving a Range Rover on the A14 in Kettering, Northamptonshire without insurance and without a valid driver’s licence on August 2, 2023.
She was disqualified from driving in December 2021. Price was banned from driving for two years after she crashed her BMW on the B2135 near Partridge Green on September 28 2021. The mum-of-five was also given a 16-week suspended jail sentence for drink-driving while disqualified and without insurance.
A court heard that after the incident - which occurred near her Sussex home that year - Katie had five previous driving bans.
Her latest court appearance comes just weeks after the High Court ruled Katie will lose half of her monthly earnings. The reality star was declared bankrupt in November 2019.

Barrister Darragh Connell, who was representing the trustees told the court that Price had reached a voluntary agreement over the debts – but had failed to make payments. Connell told a bankruptcy hearing judge that the previous agreement included 36 payments of £12,500, as well as a lump sum.

She is accused of driving without insurance and without a licence (Getty Images)The court heard that trustees went to court to ask for an income payments order, meaning money from any salary towards Price's debts. Four companies were listed, including the adult-only subscription site, OnlyFans, as well as a photographic agency, Backgrid. Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton said the four companies are "obligated to deduct 40% of the income due to be paid to Ms Price" each month for the next 36 months.
40% will be paid to a specific bank account which had been chosen by the trustees, Burton said. During her previous bankruptcy hearing last September, the 'petrified' model accused people of taking recordings and screenshots of the virtual proceeding. Katie told Judge Paul Greenwood her “anxiety levels have gone up” just before the remote hearing was set to begin.
She said: "There are people already on here who shouldn’t be on here. It’s an awful site that gives me anxiety.” Price later added: “I’m scared to be on here because of these people on this site. They are awful about me. It’s a site where they just slag everyone off. I’m petrified. They are already saying I’m going to jail on there.”
Judge Greenwood told those joining the hearing, held on Microsoft Teams, it is contempt of court to screenshot or record proceedings. He concluded that the hearing – which was due to last 15 minutes and cover the future direction of the case – should be held in private, with only the parties and lawyers able to stay.
