Fern Britton 'dig' at ex Phil Vickery spotted as she says 'I'm no one's wife'
Celebrity Big Brother fans think Fern Britton may have been making a subtle dig at ex husband Phil Vickery after saying she is "no one's wife".
The broadcaster was digesting the news that she's up for eviction. in a brutal twist, Sharon Osbourne had to nominate a housemate after being to save one of the three who topped the vote. She went for Fern, and kept pal Louis Walsh in danger as she was convinced that the public would save him. Sharon later insisted it was the "right thing to do".
Fern, 66, was keen to keep her spirits up and burst into song with her housemates outside and sung the lyrics: "I've got a life, I've got a life.... thank god I'm nobody's wife!" as she threw her blanket into the air. Some saw that as a little poke at her ex Phil, who left everyone shocked when they announced their split four years ago.
One tweet read: "Fern singing thank god I’m no one’s wife throwing shade at Phil Vickery!" while another Big Brother fan took to the platform to ask: Why hasn’t anyone properly had a conversation with Fern Britton? I would like to know what happened between her and ex husband Phil Vickery & life after This Morning! #CelebrityBigBrother."

Fern, who insists they remain good friends, told Woman & Home magazine: "We simply needed to follow our own paths. Over time we realised we weren't necessarily having the kind of life we once did. It seemed right to say 'thank you' and move on. But we do have a good friendship.

"Phil and I had the greatest fun together and we have the most beautiful daughter together, Winnie.... so we will always be connected." She added: "Life has changed for me in the last 10 years, especially with my career. So it's lovely to think I can just concentrate on writing, the kids and getting on with life. This feels quite comfortable, and Phil and I knew it was the right thing to do."

She is up for the boot next and it follows the first eviction of the series on Friday night, as Gary was booted out of the famous house. He had been nominated by Sharon Osbourne earlier in the week, while Lauren Simon soon joined him as a nominated housemate. Viewers were given the chance to vote ahead of Friday’s live eviction, and as it finally arrived hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu announced which star was leaving. Gary was met with a mixed reaction as he left the house, while the crowd were heard booing him earlier on in the night.
Some fans thought her lyrics were very telling (ITV)As Kate Middleton ’s uncle left the famous compound, viewers were convinced a house feud was apparent. On Sunday's episode, it aired the aftermath of the eviction as Gary's fellow housemates made their thoughts about his exit very clear. Louis didn't hold back as he immediately declared it was the "right decision" and "it's great", adding: "I hammed it up deliberately, I was hamming it up, pretending I was shocked…”. Sharon then said to her fellow housemates: "Do we know what he does, I have no idea... he talks in riddles!" to which Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu replied he likes to party in Ibiza.
