Alex Scott and Jess Glynne's romance - from sweet moments to privacy concerns
Alex Scott and Jess Glynne had a 'slow burn' romance to begin with, but now it seems they're positively smitten.
As viewers tune in to see Alex, 39, take on Arctic conditions for Comic Relief in Snow Going Back: Comic Relief vs the Arctic, we take a look at the sports broadcaster's very happy relationship with singer Jess, 34.
After months of rumours and speculation, the two women made things Instagram official earlier this year, much to the delight of their followers.
Here, the Mirror looks back on the couple's time together so far, from their early summertime dates, to their romantic Christmas holiday overseas.
Early days
In the early days of their courtship, Alex and Jess decided to keep their growing attraction to each other out of the public eye as they got to know each other, with the pair having enjoyed a series of dates both before and after the Women's World Cup.

They were also spotted together as far back as July, sitting together at Wimbledon Tennis and enjoying a pub lunch in North West London the following month.
Adoring Instagram story
In December, Alex appeared to address rumours after Jess opened up candidly about her sexuality. In an interview with the Mail Online, Jess reflected: "Love who you love, be you and be happy. But it's a very brutal world and outside judgment is never easy. When someone says, 'Well, what are you? Heterosexual, bisexual, queer?', I'm like, 'Why does that matter to you?'"
In a move that many took to be a response to these comments, Alex shared a photo of Jess on her Instagram stories with her 1.9 million followers, with the 'Oh hello...' finished off with telling red heart and heart eyes emojis.
Awards ceremony date
Later in December, fans were driven wild after Alex shared a rare snap of her and Jess, celebrating at the BBC's annual Sports Personality of the Year award.
A source previously told The Sun: "Alex and Jess have been a slow burn and they didn’t want to rush things or go public too soon. But they’re officially an item now and seem really happy. They are both strong, independent women with a shared passion and respect of their respective careers, supporting one another from the sidelines."
Romantic holiday
Taking a huge step in their relationship, Alex and Jess spent the Christmas period together holidaying in Mexico. Sunkissed photos from their trip show the couple enjoying a glass of fizz of beach, and exploring their surrounding by moped.
Commenting on the sweet pics, one fan wrote: "You make a lovely couple". Another approved: "You and Alex are the best thing to come out of 2023, two strong women loving and supporting each other."
Previous loves
Alex has previously opened up about her former relationship with fellow Lioness Kelly Smith in her 2022 autobiography How (Not) To Be Strong. Opening up about their eight years together - from 2005 until 2013 - Alex shared: “I went back and forth on whether I’d actually be writing the chapter. But then it was one of those moments, I’m writing this book and I want to tell everything. I thought I’d be cheating you all if I didn’t put that in there. And for me, it’s like that first love story, I fell madly and deeply in love. And yes, there’s that heartbreak and those things, but it’s a huge part of my life and I wouldn’t go back and change that. Because that feeling of love and that excitement and what it gives you, it needed to be in there.”
Dealing with being in the public eye
Speaking on a recent episode of Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, Jess opened up for the first time about their relationship, explaining that privacy was important to both of them.

I’m unapologetically me. It has allowed me to be really happy in a new relationship. It’s a nice thing to be able to embrace someone and a relationship that feels really genuinely good."
She added: “It’s something that I’m getting used to. I do love to somehow keep my personal life to myself. It’s so important. Even though we’re both in this public space, what we have, that’s ours. I feel like that’s something I will always do.”
