Eamonn Holmes props himself up with crutches at star-studded charity bash
Eamonn Holmes has been spotted propping himself up with crutches at a star-studded charity bash.
The star went to the Turn The Tables 2024 Lunch in London on Monday where he was joined by other well-known faces. He was seen with other celebs such as Jimmy Carr and Tamara Beckwith.
Eamonn, 64, leant on a crutch at the event after opening up about his back injuries last year. He looked as smart as ever as he wore a navy blue suit along with a white shirt and gold tie. The event was hosted by Tania Bryer and James Landale in aid of Cancer Research UK and saw a number of politicians and journalists in attendance. Eamonn has been open about his health struggles over the last few years.
In 2023 he had back surgery and suffered an injury to his shoulder, which saw him have four months off work. In January, he revealed he would be returning to work after breaking his shoulder.
Speaking in a video, he said: "Hello there everybody, just to say that after nearly four months away off the telly, I'm back tomorrow. Sounds like a threat doesn't it! No, I mean you may or may not be aware of what happened to me, I had back surgery, I've had disc problems.
Eamonn Holmes claims Andy Carroll "should have been arrested" in brutal attack"I then got some back surgery which affected one of my legs which led to me falling down stairs, which led to me breaking my shoulder. So I had a leg that didn't work and a shoulder that didn't work and lots of other things in-between but here I am.
"I feel there are only so many box sets that I can watch and recommend to you - I'm not better, but I'm better than I was. And I've decided to make an attempt to go back to work, on GB News from tomorrow on the basis that work will hopefully heal me.
"Any of you that are long-term sick or in any way convalescing particularly at home will know that there's a lot of frustration involved in it. For me I think I'm going to give it a go, be back to work and hopefully get better as a result of doing day-to-day things. So on a day-to-day basis all I need is you to be there, GB News, with Isabel, from tomorrow, from 6 through to 9.30am, hope you can join me."
Eamonn has been supported by his fans through his health troubles and often take to his social media page to give updates. Most recently he took to Instagram to tell fans he was having physio therapy. Back in 2016, he had undergone a double hip replacement, which was meant to ease the pain in his legs and hips, which he had secretly suffered with for decades.
