Omid Scobie has spoken out after the Princess of Wales addressed the intense speculation over her Mother's Day photo.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the royal author slammed Kensington Palace after Princess Kate's picture faced accusations it had been heavily edited. The family snap, which was released on Sunday, is the first official image of the Princess of Wales since she underwent abdominal surgery in January.

Omid said: "It's fair to say that most photos released by the offices of public figures have been retouched in some way, so as an isolated incident this is just an unfortunate error. But with the Palace's long history of lying, covering up, and even issuing statements on behalf of family members without their permission (cc: Prince Harry), it's becoming increasingly difficult for the public to believe a word (and now photo) they share.

Commenting on Omid's post, one fan joked: "Would love to be a fly on the wall," while another blasted: "No one talented wants to work there." A third fan insisted: "Omid, they need a good Photoshop department," while someone else said: "I know the Buckingham Palace comms team is having a good laugh."

The Princess of Wales has been forced to speak out after she was accused of heavily editing her photo. In a statement shared on X, she said: "Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing.
