Carrie Johnson has suffered a "grim" 48 hours with her daughter having to be taken to hospital while all three kids were struck down by a "vomiting virus" in the run-up to Mother's Day.

The 35-year-old wife of former Prime Minister Boris Johnson detailed the stressful experience on her Instagram Stories, all while suffering with a "stinking cold" of her own. She shared a snap of her kids Wilfred, three, Romy, two, and three-month-old Frank, before detailing how her daughter fell at nursery resulting in a "pretty deep" cut.

The media consultant wrote: "The last 48 hours have been pretty grim here. My daughter fell at nursery and needed to go to hospital as the cut was pretty deep and then all three kids have picked up some vomiting virus and have been sick multiple times. I'm looking after them on my own while having a stinking cold and also feeling pretty off-colour. A dose of reality on here!"

Carrie later added a video thanking her followers for their support. She said: "I think we're coming out the other end of it as Romy is laughing and no one has vomited for a few hours."

It comes days after she revealed a heartwarming early Mother's Day treat, which saw her enjoying a cream tea outside with Wilfred and Romy. An adorable photo showed the two kids wrapped up in their coats and hats while sitting at an outdoor table decorated with a gingham tablecloth and a red rose.

"Enjoyed an early Mother's Day treat this morning. A delicious al fresco breakfast made by these two [red love heart emoji]," Carrie wrote. Another photo showed the sweet Mother's Day cards she'd received, and another showed the tots eating the cream and jam-covered scones.

Carrie and the kids lived with Boris, 59, at £3.8million Brightwell Manor. The couple got married during a secret ceremony during the Covid pandemic at Westminster Cathedral in 2021. Carrie regularly shares photos and updates on her family on social media.
