Victoria Beckham shared a very cheek snap of husband David after he stole their daughter Harper's World Book Day costume.

The Spice Girl was one of many celebrities showing off their children's costumes for the yearly event. Harper opted for a mouse costume, but it wasn't long before her dad made use of the outfit.

Victoria uploaded a picture of Harper dressed up on her Instagram Stories. The 12-year-old was sat at the kitchen worktop with a tail and a pair of mouse ears. Accompanied by a mouse emoji, Victoria captioned the picture: "Dress up for World Book Day (that was actually yesterday)."

She then shared a cheeky snap seconds later of David wearing the tail between his legs, in a rather less appropriate use of his daughter's World Book Day costume. Sporting under-eye patches and sipping a drink through a straw, the footballing legend wore the prop over his crotch with the end of it tucked between his legs.

Victoria captioned the cheeky post: "Dad making good use of the tail", with a flirty smirk emoji. The Spice Girl wasn't the only won celebrating World Book Day with Rochelle Humes, Myleene Klass and Amanda Holden were among stars celebrating the annual event this year.

This Morning host Rochelle shared an adorable image of her two youngest children Blake, three, and Valentina, six, dressed as Oompa Loompas from the Roald Dahl classic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She later shared a snap of her eldest daughter Alaia-Mai in a costume inspired by the Babysitters Club series.

Myleene and her fiancé Simon Motson built a cardboard train for their son Apollo in honour of the annual occasion. The Smooth Radio host shared a video with her followers documenting the process of building a version of The Little Red Train.

Meanwhile, Amanda Holden and Ashley Roberts kicked off World Book Day celebrations on the Heart Breakfast show in style as they transformed into the mystical characters from the world of Narnia. Taking inspiration from C. S. Lewis' novel The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Amanda turned into the villainous White Witch while Ashley became the lion.

In an hilarious clip shared ahead of their radio show, co-host Jamie Theakston was seen holding up to doors to imitate the wardrobe from the classic novel. "Happy World Book Day!" the hosts exclaimed as Jamie popped up behind the doors as Amanda stunned in a white dress with an icy crown while Ashley looked adorable in a pair of lion ears.
