Soap actor Ryan Thomas has been given some harsh news ahead of the Dancing On Ice final this weekend.

The 39-year-old has been paired with professional figure skater Amani Fancy for the ITV ice skating competition. They have made it all the way through to the last show of the series as they hope to take home the winning title. Ryan and Amani are up against Miles Nazaire and Vanessa Bauer, Adele Roberts and Mark Hanretty and Greg Rutherford and Vanessa James.

Judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill will be on hand on Sunday night to crown the winners, however it appears Ryan may not be in the running. The latest odds have showed he is 6/1 to win the show. Miles sits at 6/4, Greg at 2/1 and Adele has been given 7/2.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "We're strapping in for potentially the closest finale in the history of Dancing On Ice, with all four names still standing in with a genuine chance of taking the crown." Ryan, best known for playing Jason Grimshaw on Coronation Street, has previously shared how the show has been harder than expected.

He said: "My body's just fatigued. You have days like this. It's hard sometimes to be up there constantly energy wise." Ryan added: "It's very hard to get it right all the time. And I hate watching videos back and seeing my feet and my hands and my positioning. And yeah, it annoys me when I watch things back."

Last month, Ryan suffered two stumbles during his live routine leaving fans "gutted". He shared the clip and said: "I don’t want to shy away from my mistakes. I have to own it, learn from it, move on, reset & go again! It’s was a tough one to swallow at the time but i have to say a massive thank you to everyone in the audience last night, you really did get me through it. After the second fall I wanted the ground to swallow me up but hearing all your cheers give me the courage to finish it!

"And to everyone at home who voted from the bottom of my heart, thank you! I honestly didn’t expect it, it really meant a lot." Last week, Amber Davies narrowly missed out on a spot in the final as she was sent home. Viewers decided to predict who will win the show and claimed it will be Adele and Mark.

One viewer posted: "Adele & Mark to win for me," as another said: "Adele should win." A third added: "Adele will win," while a fourth fan commented: "Adele needs to win, a girl hasn’t won since 2013." Amber herself said she felt she was "on borrowed time" predicting her exit before the finale. Judge Oti hit out at last week's skate-off between Amber and Adele. She said: "I hate seeing the two women in the competition here in the bottom, I think it is a real shame. But I am going to save Adele and Mark."
