Teary Celebrity Big Brother star slams 'snakey' co-stars as she faces eviction
Celebrity Big Brother aired tears and signs of drama ahead on the ITV1 series on Thursday night.
One more housemate learned they were up for eviction, and faced the public vote alongside Gary Goldsmith - ahead of Friday's first elimination of the series. Lauren Simon was left in tears, fleeing the lounge area after finding out she'd received the most votes from her co-stars.
Just days into the series, Lauren was "emotional and in shock" in the latest episode as she learned six mystery housemates had nominated her. Gary had been nominated by Sharon Osbourne earlier in the week, while reality star David Potts and YouTube star Zeze Millz were also at risk. The latest nominations saw everyone face the voting though minus Sharon and Gary.
Lauren was emotional as she found out she was up for eviction (ITV1)Lauren received six nominations, more votes than anyone else and it left her reeling. Lauren burst into tears and left the room. She initially said: "I’ve obviously p***ed a couple of people off." Sharon told her: "You haven’t done anything." Lauren went on: "The thing is with me, I’ve heard it, I’ve taken it on board. I’m not going to change. I am what I am. Every day changes here, doesn’t it?"
Lauren spoke to Big Brother in the Diary Room, and said: "I’m obviously a bit tired. I’m emotional. It was a bit of a shock but I knew that we’ve all voted and someone had to leave. I’m having such a nice time. I feel that there’s obviously more than two people who have voted for me in that room.

"I’m struggling with not knowing who it is. I don’t like living with snakes. I am who I am. I try to be the best I can be and get on with everybody. But I suppose I’m marmite, you love me or you hate me."
Celebrity Big Brother 2024 housemates learned who would face the public vote (ITV)It comes as Sharon revealed earlier in the week why she had nominated Gary for eviction. Speaking to Big Brother, and not knowing Gary and everyone was watching, she said: "The housemate that I nominate is Gary.
"I don't think he's that comfortable here, I think he's awkward with himself being here too. It's very tough for him; he told me about things. He's brave to have come in here. I somehow don't think this is the place for him.
"He's the oddball. If I went into his world, and suddenly plonked myself in the middle of his boardrooms, I'd feel the same. I think he's insecure too." As they all looked at Gary, he admitted: "To be fair, this isn't my world. I'd go back to normal life."
