It's official, the UK's most beloved carrot is making a triumphant return.

Born in 2016, Kevin the Carrot became a national treasure after featuring in Aldi's Christmas advert - where he set about to meet the elusive Santa Clause. Since then, limited editions of the vegetable have popped up for iconic events including Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee and the 2022 World Cup.

Footie fans went mad for the plush toy, with more than 70,000 Brits rushing to stores to get their hands on one. According to Retail Gazette, some shoppers started queuing for Kevin at 5.30am to make sure they didn't miss out.

Now, the beloved carrot has had an Easter makeover.

Aldi has confirmed it is releasing two new Kevin collectables featuring removable outfits. One is dressed in a grey bunny suit while the other dons a boucle-style lamb outfit. In other words, they're both adorable.

Priced at £3.99, Easter Kevin will launch in stores across the nation on March 14. They will only be available for a limited time while stocks last, and can be found in the special buys aisle, so keep your eyes peeled!

"Kevin's loyal fans better act fast to get their hands on this cuddly edition," the retailer said. "As with all Special buys once they’re gone, they're gone."

If a plush toy isn't for you - don't worry - you can check out Aldi's £15 gin that was victorious at the prestigious Word Gin Awards earlier this year. The supermarket's Haysmith's Seville Orange & Persian Lime Gin won the 'Best in Country' award - and was also crowned the Best in Britain within the Flavoured Gin category.

It's currently a staggering 46 per cent cheaper than Tanqueray Flor De Sevilla Gin, a rival tipple that costs around £28 per bottle. "We are extremely proud that one of our own branded gins has been named 'best in the country', as well as landing medals for three other gins in our range," said Julie Ashfield of Aldi. "Now more than ever, we are showing that low prices doesn’t mean a compromise on quality – we’ve got the logo to prove it!"
