Hollyoaks' Owen Warner 'sad' after quitting soap as spoilers tease dramatic exit
Hollyoaks star Owen Warner has addressed his looming exit on the Channel 4 soap, amid fans fearing he's about to be killed off.
His character Romeo Nightingale will bow out of the show soon after six years, amid dramatic scenes for the fan favourite. Spoilers for next week's episodes reveal his life remains in danger, as he's in hospital after a near-fatal stabbing.
Romeo fears he will die if he returns to prison, where he currently remains after pleading guilty to the murder of his abusive ex Rayne Royce. After drama with his father James Nightingale, Romeo finds himself in danger and he almost loses his life as a result.
Next week, James is desperate to get his son away knowing if he returns to prison, he will likely be killed. But it's not just the inmates leaving Romeo in danger, as his former pal turned enemy Prince McQueen also issues a dark death threat next week.
With it teased his exit could air next week and spoilers hinting at plenty of drama, it's not yet revealed how he will exit and whether he will get away as James plots an escape plan for his son. With a life on the run in the pipeline, will Romeo get away or will he be stopped and be sent back behind bars?

With police swarming the building he sets off, just as Prince and Dilly get into the cab unaware of the identity of the driver.
Viewers will have to tune in to see whether Romeo gets away, or if Prince will get revenge after swearing he's "a dead man". Speaking about his final storyline, actor Owen his revealed his "sadness" at leaving the show for good.
He revealed: "It’s a bit sad to be honest. When you’re busy on set and you’re there all the time the people you’re working with become your family they are the people you see every day all day and you embrace them. I love everyone there I have so much time for Hollyoaks it will always have a place in my heart and being without that, it’s sort of like, what now?
"It’s been such a big part of my life for so long, it’s starting to sink in now I’m missing a lot of people. I miss the work environment I miss being on set with everyone I miss hearing scouse voices. It feels like home and it feels like I’m moving out, it feels like I’ve grown up and I’m leaving home now."
