The biggest and film buffs will be pleased to hear they don’t have to be in La La Land to catch all the action.

Taking place on Sunday, March 10, some of the most famous faces on the planet will descend on Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre for the glitzy bash, at which the likes of Cillian Murphy and Emma Stone are nominated for prestigious gongs.

Jimmy Kimmel is hosting the Academy Awards for the fourth time this year and it’s already known that Angela Bassett, Mel Brooks and Carol Littleton will be celebrated with honorary awards.

So where can showbiz and movie aficionados across the pond catch all the drama? Thankfully, a global stream of the Oscars can be found live on ITVX from 9pm when Ross King will start showcasing the best celeb gowns.

However, the real action kicks off on the broadcaster’s flagship channel, ITV1, at 10.15pm when Jonathan Ross hosts what’s billed as the ultimate Oscars party, featuring special guests and a panel of famous film fans. Then, on Monday March 11, ITV will air a 90-minute highlights show at 10.45pm recapping all the night’s best bits.

Speaking about his Oscars gig, Ross didn’t hold back when discussing some of the films tipped to win big, making it known he was not as impressed as members of the Academy. Ross said: "Best Picture, I can see why they're all nominated, I think they all deserve a nomination.

"Some of them, as a viewer and audience member, didn't excite me as much as others, so I have been a little mystified at the praise heaped on Oppenheimer and Killers of the Flower Moon, I'm not huge on either of those two. I love Poor Things, American Fiction I loved as well. It felt quite of the moment. Anatomy of a Fall I think is incredible. I suspect it'll go to Oppenheimer."

Oppenheimer certainly looks like it will be in for a great night at the Oscars as the film bagged an impressive 13 nominations. It's up for the Best Picture award alongside American Fiction, Anatomy of A Fall, Barbie, The Holdovers and Killers of the Flower Moon.

Fans tuning into the ceremony will also be thrilled to know that Barbie star Ryan Gosling will belt out his signature song from the movie, I'm Just Ken. And Barbie fans will also be watching in anticipation as the movie of summer 2023 is up for eight gongs - but will it win them all?
