Celebrity Big Brother's Ekin-Su hints at why she split from Davide
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has spoken about being single following her split from Davide Sanclimenti, having shared her thoughts ahead of entering Celebrity Big Brother.
The reality TV star, 29, announced in January that she had split up from her partner Davide, also 29. The former couple - who met on Love Island back in 2022 - issued separate statements at the time about the end of their relationship.
The news came just weeks prior to her entering the Big Brother house for the celebrity version of the ITV show. She's referenced the break-up on a recent episode and spoke about being single ahead of the launch on Monday.
Speaking to The Sun, she teased that life "isn't all about finding someone" or "posting it all" on social media to "prove something or for likes". Ekin-Su also dismissed the suggestion that she needs to "find someone" now that she's single.

Ekin-Su said that people can be "soulmates" in a "friendship way," rather than romantically, for example.

The housemate - who won Love Island and has since been on the Traitors US - added during the interview that she wasn't going into the Big Brother house "for love". She instead said that she was looking for "an experience".
She said: "What I've learned throughout my life and having a public relationship, is I don't agree with always posting to prove a point to people, or each other, that you love each other ... I think a healthy relationship is private, not posting about each other because it proves that you are happy or posting to get likes." Describing the latter as "false," she said: "I'm not interested in that."
Ekin-Su announced that she had split up from Davide in a statement in January. She wrote at the time: "The last 18 months have been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, just like every relationship. Davide and I both wanted to make this relationship work as we cared deeply for each other."
The news was shared just weeks before Ekin-Su entered the Celebrity Big Brother house (ITV)She continued: "Unfortunately, I have recently made the decision to end our relationship and to go our separate ways. Breakups are never easy for any couple, and we hope that our privacy will be respected at this time. I enjoyed our time together and will cherish the memories we made."
Davide later issued his own statement, saying: "Life sometimes reserves surprises and suddenly wakes you up... Ekin and I, just after the ski holidays, decided to go different ways. It was a joint decision, but I was waiting to make it public to respect her time in the show. I don't know why the agreed statement changed last minute.
"I agree, it was a beautiful story even with its ups and downs like all couples. I loved every moment, from the first time I knew her in the Villa until life outside. I really believed in us and saw a future for us. But sometimes in life people need to grow apart. Is just the direction of life. I will treasure our moments forever. Now it's time to focus on myself."
The former couple both took the opportunity in their posts to express gratitude over their fans. This included Ekin-Su sharing hope that they will continue to follow her and Davide's careers as they go off in their "own directions".
