Huge ITV show has future announced - and even host is stunned
The 1% Club has been renewed for another two series in the middle of its super successful third run.
The game show, which is hosted by Lee Mack, focuses on "logic and common sense" rather than general knowledge. It launched in 2022 and its third series is currently airing on Saturday nights. It's now been announced that a fourth and fifth series have been greenlit by those behind the ITV show. It's been teased that the two upcoming series will follow the format of the previous episodes. The show sees contestants take on a variety of questions in the hope of making it to the end, where they could win up to £100,000.

And a source told the Sun: "The show has well and truly proved its popularity with viewers, and so it's only natural to bring it back for not one, but two more rounds. This will also include two Christmas specials, which will air on ITV after the main series have run."
The show's host Lee, 55, is quoted as having teased that he's surprised that he hasn't "accidentally" given the prize fund to the wrong person or read out an answer, instead of a question. He said: "I'm really delighted that ITV is risking me steering this ship once again." Lee said that he "can't wait" to discover more "brainboxes" on the two upcoming series.
The 1% Club launched in 2022, with the first series having consisted of eight episodes. A second series was broadcast last year and featured the same number of episodes. The third series, which is currently airing, launched last month. A synopsis teases: "The show sees 100 contestants begin every show - but to make it to the end and win the top prize of up to £100,000, contestants must correctly answer a question only 1% of the country would get right."

"Contestants of all ages and backgrounds can take part, because, unlike most quizzes, no swotting up on general knowledge is required to do well. Logic and common sense are the key to success," the description adds. The show - which released a Christmas special just a few months ago - has received acclaim since it launched on ITV two years ago. It notably won a National Television Award just last year, winning in the Quiz Game Show category.
The 1% Club continues on Saturday night (March 9) on ITV and ITVX from 8.35pm. Previous episodes of the third series are available through the streaming service.
