The 96th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, March 10, with the great and good of Hollywood gathering in one place for the special award ceremony.

The Oscars, which are known as the 96th Academy Awards, will be hosted by American comedian Jimmy Kimmel, 56, and broadcast live from the Dolly Theatre in Hollywood. It is already known that Angela Bassett, Mel Brooks and Carol Littleton will be celebrated with honorary awards, with a whole host of other famous faces nominated for prestigious and sought-after gongs.

The ceremony will celebrate the best of on-screen talent and features from the year 2023, hence why they're called the 2023 awards, despite the ceremony being held in 2024.

But where can you watch the glitzy ceremony? Well, in the UK, ITV has announced they will broadcast the global stream of the Oscars nominations live on ITVX from 9.30pm, with Jonathan Ross broadcasting from LA. The following day there will be a 90-minute highlights package of the ceremony which will air on ITV1 at 10.45pm on March 11.

Jonathan will be heading up ITV's coverage of the Oscars next weekend, and he didn't hold back when discussing some of the films tipped to win big as he was not as impressed as members of the Academy. Ross said: "Best Picture, I can see why they're all nominated, I think they all deserve a nomination.

"Some of them, as a viewer and audience member, didn't excite me as much as others, so I have been a little mystified at the praise heaped on Oppenheimer and Killers of the Flower Moon, I'm not huge on either of those two. I love Poor Things, American Fiction I loved as well. It felt quite of the moment. Anatomy of a Fall I think is incredible. I suspect it'll go to Oppenheimer."

Meanwhile, in the US, the award ceremony will air live on ABC and stream live at abc.com and in the ABC app. The Oscars can also be streamed on platforms such as Hulu, YouTubeTV, AT&T TV and FuboTV.

Fans tuning into the ceremony will be thrilled to know that Barbie star Ryan Gosling will croon his beloved and signature song from the movie, I'm Just Ken. And Barbie fans will also be watching in anticipation as the movie of summer 2023 is up for eight gongs - but will it win them all?
