Even before entering the Celebrity Big Brother house, Princess Kate's uncle Gary Goldsmith has not been shy about voicing his strong opinions on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

And since making his television debut, the 58-year-old businessman has continued to be candid on his opinions about the internal feuds within the Royal Family.

While singing the praises of his niece, he has been more critical of her sister-in-law Meghan. Gary also expressed exactly why he believes that before long Harry will be back in the royal fold, despite the years of tension between the Sussexes and the rest of the Windsors.

While appearing as a contestant on CBB, Gary said he thought the circumstances of Harry's royal exit back in 2020 and the all-but estranged relationship between the Duke of Sussex and some members of his family was "sad" but had hope for his return.

"I think it's really sad. At some point, I think he's going to come back and be part of the gang – he might need to. I think we're a very forgiving nation, I think everyone would give him a chance," said the 58-year-old businessman, while speaking to fellow housemate Sharon Osborne.

With the news of King Charles' cancer diagnosis, Harry recently rushed back to the UK and despite the last-minute nature of the trip, managed to squeeze in a visit with his father before the monarch headed to Sandringham to rest in between his regular treatments for the condition.

Speaking to Good Morning America, Harry said it was 'possible' after being questioned whether or not the news of his father's health crisis could have a "reunifying" effect on his relationship with the other royals.

Reports in The Times claimed that sources close to the Duke of Sussex had said he would be willing to temporarily help out with royal duties while the Windsors find themselves short of hands, with Kate also off-duty until at least Easter as she recovers from what Kensington Palace called a "planned abdominal surgery" that the Princess underwent in January at the London Clinic.

However, those in the know about William's state of mind dismissed this concept, with a source reportedly calling this idea both "laughable and unthinkable".

Gary - the younger brother of Carole Middleton - is said to have been "read the riot act" by his sister over his appearance in the reality show before entering the house.
