Louis Walsh has made a savage jibe about Simon Cowell amid his stint on Celebrity Big Brother.

The X Factor judge became a household name when he signed up for the talent show over two decades ago and he has now entered the house alongside his fellow judge and good friend Sharon Osbourne. The pair were given a special task to show off their judging skills, and Louis has not held back about sharing his opinions on the others since.

However, even his former boss Simon Cowell can't escape as Louis promised he'd be up for gossiping as much as he can about Simon during his time on the show, promising he'd say as much as he could.

Asked if he spoke to Simon before joining the show, he said: "No, it’s all about him. Simon lives in this bubble and it’s all about him. It’s fine. I accept that. That’s just the way he is. We spoke a few months ago, I just rang him to have a chat and he was the same as ever.

"I love him. I think the world of him, I really do. I know his faults. I know he’s not perfect. He wears stupid clothes, stupid haircut, new faces ... his face has changed so much. He brings energy to a room, brings something, I don’t know what it is. It’s not like he’s Einstein or anything. But he’s good. He’s good with music and stuff."

Part of his decision to do the show was to be alongside his good friend Sharon Osbourne, but she will only be on the programme for a few days. "I’d love her to stay. Is there any way I can tempt her, maybe lock her up? I’m glad she’s here for how long she is and then we’ll see. I don’t know how I’ll cope without her. At least I’ll know everybody by then," he told The Sun.

Sharon will only be on the show for around five days so she can get back and be with her husband Ozzy Osbourne. She said: "I don’t want to stay away from Ozzy for too long. We’re so close as a family. I don’t think I have ever gone a week without talking to any of them, ever. Through fights, feuds, everything. We still talk and this will definitely be the longest."
