Ekin-Su Culculoglu shares how she really feels about ex Davide post split

Ekin-Su Culculoglu opened up about feeling lost after her rise to fame on Love Island and revealed how she really feels about her ex-boyfriend.

Speaking with former This Morning presenter Fern Britton in the Celebrity Big Brother house on Monday night, the veteran reality TV star admitted that she had tough days and found it hard to know who to trust after winning Love Island in 2022

The 29-year-old Turkish actress, who recently split from Davide Sanclimenti, confessed to Fern: "If I have sad days, it is hard in this industry to find people you trust." Ekin-Su then opened up about her recent break-up and revealed her hope for Davide.

Remembering her time with Davide fondly, Ekin-Su confessed: "I met love on the show which was great, great memories with that person and I wish them well, I've got no bad vibes for him, I really don't. I will treasure all the great times I had and I just hope he's fine and he's well."

But fame brought challenges for Ekin-Su: "But there was a moment after that, everything was too much. The brand deals, the fame, and people wanting me to be a certain person," she told Fern in the Celebrity Big Brother bathroom. She then confessed to feeling overwhelmed: "And I just didn't know who I was."

Ekin-Su also mentioned how she tries to hide her vulnerable side and expressed disgust at negative media attention. Fern, well experienced in the world of showbiz and knows how to handle fame, sympathised with her, saying: "It's a big shock to suddenly find yourself in newspapers and you weren't prepared for it, presumably."

Fern advised against focusing on negativity: "When you start to get negative press, it's very painful. None of that is real. Don't get hung up on the stuff that you go searching for, because that's pointless." The wise former This Morning host encouraged Ekin-Su to be true to herself and not to "hide bits of yourself". "There will come a time where you will feel comfortable enough to open up and that will be even better as a role model to show that we all have shit in our lives that we have to deal with," the mum-of-four told Ekin-Su.

Viewers loved Ekin-Su and Fern's chat, with one Celebrity Big Brother writing on Twitter (X): "Ekin Su and Fern Britton bathroom chat is healing me #CBBUK." "Fern is such a lovely mum vibe I’m here for her and Ekin Su bonding #CBBUK," another added, as a third joked: "Ekin Su and Fern Britton giving Walkabout smoking area vibes #CBBUK #CBB." Another quipped: "Ekin Su waiting for Fern whilst she goes to the toilet I’m so here for this duo!! #CBBUK."
