Molly-Mae Hague unveils huge facial birthmark she got removed at 12
Molly-Mae Hague has revealed she used to have a huge birthmark on her face as a child.
The 24-year-old influencer and former Love Island star took to Instagram to share a throwback snap of herself as a baby with the protruding birthmark in the middle of her forehead. Asked by a fan if the birthmark faded or if she had it removed, Molly-Mae replied: “I had it removed when I was about 12. Over the years it’s colour faded but it only went from surgery.”
She said “no one can believe it” when she shows them the photo – but far from hating her birthmark, Molly-Mae told her 7.9 million followers she “strangely I loved it”. Explaining her reasons why, she added: “I used to love that it is something no one else had and that it made me different!”
In the same Q&A with fans, Molly-Mae went on to reveal the alternative name she would have chosen for daughter Bambi, which sounds very similar and means she can’t use it if she were to have another baby girl with fiancé . Molly-Mae and Tommy, who met on Love Island in the summer of 2019 and have been together ever since, welcomed baby Bambi in January 2023, meaning the tot has just turned one.
But had she known about the name at the time, Bambi could have been called something different. Opening up about her current ‘obsession’, Molly-Mae said: “At the moment I'm obsessed with the baby girl name 'Brandy'.” Revealing why she would never use it, she shared: “Would never use it because too similar to Bambi but I think it's very cute/cool. Any individual/quirky names I just love.”
Love Island's Haris spills on unaired row between Zara and TanyelAnd when it comes to boys names, it seems Molly-Mae and Tommy are stumped for the moment so they better get their thinking caps on if she gets pregnant again in the future. Molly-Mae added: “Also I think boys names are SO hard. I genuinely don’t have one name that I love for the future if we needed one."
Another fan asked Molly-Mae how she was coping with motherhood as her daughter approaches becoming a toddler. She responded: "I wouldn't say she's a proper toddler yet but honestly motherhood now is everything I dreamt it would be. I can see it just getting better and better too. The older she gets the more amazing each day is.
"The first 6 months for me was the biggest challenge ever but now I feel very in control and happy. So many people used to say to me 'It only gets worse, it only gets harder' etc and it literally used to terrify me because I was really struggling... But for me personally it's just getting more incredible each day."
But before any more kids come along, Molly-Mae’s mind is firmly on walking down the aisle with her beau of almost five years. Opening up on her wedding plans to boxer Tommy, whose brother is heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, she revealed: “We're currently in the talks of looking for a church to get married at because we definitely do want to get married in the UK in a traditional Catholic Church. So if anyone knows any beautiful churches, Catholic churches in Cheshire, because I think we want to do Cheshire because that's where we live obviously, or maybe London as well."
