One of Love Island's longest standing couples have sadly split.

Nas Majeed and Eva Zapico have separated after four years together.

The pair met on the ITV2 show back in 2020 and left the show together when they were dumped from the villa more than halfway through. Nas and Eva continued their romance once they returned to the UK. They have now split up, with it suggested that the relationship had "run its course". The pair are said to have separated three weeks ago and Nas has moved out of their shared home.

Eva and Nas had celebrated New Year's Eve together just two months ago. More recently though, she didn't feature in his birthday post on Instagram just over a week ago.

Taking to Instagram, Nas shared a statement as he wrote: "Unfortunately, Eva and I have decided to end our relationship. There is no bad blood or wrong doing - it was a mutual decision and completely amicable decision. We tried to work things out over the past couple of months but decided this was for the best, and are both at peace with the situation. I am grateful to Eva and her family for the past 4 years and will cherish those memories, and wish her all the best going forward. Thank you all for your continued love and support, I really do appreciate it."

A source told the Sun that it was Eva's decision to end the relationship, saying that it happened in the middle of last month. The source described it as a "very sad situation" for both Eva and Nas, though said it's "the right one". Nas is said to have been left "heartbroken" and moved out of their shared flat and in with his parents as he "searches for somewhere to live".

The source said: "There was no cheating but Eva thought the relationship had ran its course and decided to end it. They seemed to be the fairytale couple and one of the best success stories of Love Island - but there was obviously problems with their relationship. Eva is understandably sad but said it's the best thing for her."

Nas was an original islander on the sixth series of Love Island, which launched in January 2020. Three weeks into the series, which was filmed in South Africa, Eva made her debut in Casa Amor and ended up being brought back to the main villa by Nas, who had been coupled up with Demi Jones, now 25.

A week later, Nas and Eva were dumped from the villa, two weeks before the final. Demi ended up being a finalist with Luke Mabbott and they finished in third place. Jess Gale and Ched Uzor were behind them in fourth place. The series was won by Paige Turley and Finn Tapp. Siânnise Fudge and Luke Trotman were announced the runner-up couple in the final that year. None of the finalist couples are together themselves anymore.

Nas and Eva continued their romance outside of the show upon their return to the UK after being dumped from the villa. And it was announced towards the end of 2022, two years later, that they were moving in together.
