There's nothing outlandish about this house on the outside - but just wait until you see the interior...

Located in the sunny state of Florida, the two bedroom, two bathroom, property was listed for just £78,000 - a staggering £210,000 cheaper than the average house in the UK. The flat sits behind a perfectly-manicured lawn and has a stone staircase that leads up to a glass entrance. It's also situated on a quiet residential area. Dreamy, right?

But, before you book those non-refundable tickets to the US, it may be worth having a look at the inside. Because it's not until you step through the front door that you realise you'd have to be utterly beer obsessed to want to call this place home,

The previous owner decorated every single available wall and ceiling with Budweiser beer cans. In fact, the only gaps existing between the cans have been left for access to light switches and wall fixtures, with even the inside of the wardrobe and kitchen splashback being given the Budweiser treatment - leaving the bathrooms as the only space left untouched.

There's thought to be tens of thousands of beer cans decorating the flat, with real estate agent Kristen Adams-Kearney saying she was blown away by what she found inside when she first visited back in 2020. Kristen was contacted by a man named Kris Johnson, who had become responsible for the property when his friend who owned the home had passed away.

He wrote a letter to explain the home belonged to Mike Amelotte, a US Navy veteran who moved in back in 1986 and had a stack of Bud cans on his dinning room table reaching the ceiling, as reported by Today. He stuck to what he liked and exclusively drank the one brand of beer for more than four decades, starting the project to decorate his home with the cans in 1990 and completing it 16 years later.

Kris pointed out that his friend Mike had done it all entirely by himself. Kristen said: "He first asked me if I'd be interested in taking a listing that was wallpapered with beer-can wallpaper, and up until the appointment, I couldn't imagine where you would even find beer-can wallpaper. I didn't know until I walked in that it was actually wallpapered with beer cans.

"Traditionally, it's not something we would normally go after, but we wanted to honor his legacy. "He even went as far as to create crown molding and took attention to detail around outlets and A.C. vents."

Unsurprisingly, the listing caught the attention of Budweiser, which Tweeted Kristen asking to "let them know who buys the house so we can stock their fridge with beer (as long as they don’t renovate)". The price was lowered to just $100,000 several years ago and has since been sold.
