Prince Harry is putting "pressure" on Meghan Markle to return to the UK to support the Invictus Games, a royal expert claims.

The Duke of Sussex is expected to host an event on British soil this year to celebrate 10 years since the inception of the games for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans. Royal expert and author Tom Quinn exclusively tells The Mirror that Harry is "putting pressure" on his wife Meghan to join him at the event.

But Meghan may not be so keen to return to the UK as it was claimed that the Duchess "never felt at home" in the UK. Omid Scobie, a royal author previously named as the Sussex's 'mouthpiece' wrote in his book Endgame last year that Meghan "never wants to set foot again in England".

But Quinn is convinced Harry won't take no for an answer and even Meghan is beginning to realise that you "should never say never".

"The Invictus Games - it's one of the few areas of Harry‘s life where he feels on firm ground," Quinn exclusively tells us. "There’s no doubt that helping disabled soldiers is a good thing, and it’s something that Harry has tried to do without it becoming all about him, so it's good for brand Sussex but only if Meghan is also there. So he is definitely putting pressure on her to join him.

"This is causing huge tension in the couple's relationship. Omid Scobie's book Endgame tells us that Meghan never wants to visit the UK again, but she now realises with the games coming up and her father-in-law seriously ill that you should never say never."

Scobie also spoke about the couple's marriage in the run-up to his book's release. Speaking on the Something To Talk About podcast, Omid addressed rumours of trouble in Meghan and Harry's marriage. He said that sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told him they "continue to be happy and in a good place".
