Sharon Osbourne astounding Celebrity Big Brother fee for five day stint leaked
Sharon Osbourne is set to reap a huge six-figure fee for her five days in the Celebrity Big Brother house with show bosses hoping they will get plenty of bang for their buck and a whole heap of drama from the former X Factor judge.
The 71-year-old will be jetting in from the United States for the show, which starts on Monday, and reuniting with her X Factor pal Louis Walsh and is reportedly set to receive £100,000 for her efforts as a guest housemate. Sharon will be leaving her husband Ozzy, 75, back in Los Angeles for her week in the CBB house, with her fee for being there for the whole three weeks proving too expensive for producers to justify.
It has been seven years since Louis and Sharon appeared on television together and there is hope that they will soon slip into the cheeky banter that used to leave X Factor boss Simon Cowell raising his eyebrows. A source told The Sun on Sunday: "Bosses did all they could to get Sharon and finally reached a deal she’s happy with. Sharon will inject enough drama but without her original price tag that was just not feasible. Producers cannot wait to see her reunite with Louis and know that it will be TV gold.”
There should be every chance that all conversations, whether over the top or whispered, will be caught for the viewers as an ITV insider revealed that there are 92 hidden cameras throughout the house and producers are hoping for some explosive action. Dragons' Den star Levi Roots, 65, will be joined by Strictly Come Dancing pro Nikita Kuzmin, 26, and Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith, 58, in the all-star line-up.
Al the cast have undergone training in their behaviour before entering the house. Ahead of last year’s regular series, which was won by Jordan Sangha, ITV stipulated: “Housemates are provided with and talked through the Housemate rules, which set out expectations and explain key aspects of life in the Big Brother House.”
Corrie's Sue Cleaver says I'm A Celebrity stint helped her to push boundariesSharon threw water over Louis in 2005 when he asked if she was taking her husband Ozzy's drugs. She also famously fell out with fellow judge Dannii Minogue, who claimed Sharon had to be removed from her dressing room for "screaming and swearing" before filming.
*Celebrity Big Brother starts at 9pm tomorrow on ITV1 and ITVX.
