Woman spent £230 getting ready for date 'sickened' when they want to split bill

The hefty sum doesn't even include her pricey eyelashes or nails either.

Dating can be no mean feat, trying to put your best foot forward and impress while also making sure they are right for you - as well as wondering if you will see them again. These are some of the many dilemmas daters will face, but one woman has made it clear she also doesn't expect to pay for any of her dates while out.

Dater Isabelle even went as far as to say it makes her feel "sick" when men ask her to split the bill, as she's already spent so much in order to look pretty for them.

She felt so passionate about it that she took to TikTok to explain why she thinks the man should cough up and foot the bill. She wrote: "Girls should pay half," in a sarcastic manner as she went on to show her expensive routine when getting ready for a date - and stated she will spend £230 on makeup alone.

First off, the beauty whitened her teeth and prepped her skin before applying foundation, followed by bronzer, blusher, highlighter and contour. To finish off she popped on some lipgloss and neatened up her eye makeup.

Isabelle claimed that because she's already spent £230 on getting ready, it means her date should pay. She captioned the post: "Cost of make-up cost of getting ready full face of make-up."

The only time she would be happy to fork out half is if her date was happy to pay half towards her beauty routine and added: "No like I'll gladly pay for half of meals if they pay for half of ALL MY BEAUTY MAINTENANCE." However, she revealed the hefty cost doesn't even include all of her maintenance.

Other costs she has to pay out for are her lashes, manicures, waxing, skincare and gym membership too. It seems as if people agreed with Isabelle's opinion, as one fellow TikToker commented: "Exactly and they use the skincare too. This is why it's so important to choose a partner that will take care of you and you will take of them."

A second penned: "Guys who aren't prepared to pay the full bill aren't prepared," and another chimed: "If only they knew how much it costs us to take care of ourselves."
