It's just days until the Celebrity Big Brother launch and its castmates are likely biting their nails in anticipation.

And OG CBB housemate Vanessa Feltz has said that while she enjoys watching the show, she is very unlikely to ever appear on it again as she issued a warning to the 2024 stars. It comes after rumours of the line-up continues to circulate, with icons like former This Morning star Fern Britton and X Factor originals Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh touted for the show.

Joining Alison Hammond and stand-in presenter Paddy McGuinness on This Morning today, Vanessa admitted appearing on the show in 2001 was a "horrible and scary feeling" and that "the whole thing got terribly personal", with some "bursting into tears" over evictions".

"When I came out I had 7,000 letters," Vanessa said. "It was so much of a bigger phenomenon than we thought." She went on to give her opinion on this year's housemates, commenting: "They’re saying Sharon Osbourne and I know her and we all have an idea about her. I’ve worked with her and she’s fabulous! Louis Walsh is such a chatterbox and such a gossip, he’s going to be such good value for money."

Alison pointed out that another rumoured name was Fern Britton, with Vanessa quipping: "I hope Fern Britton goes in!" Paddy added in excitement: "Is Fern going in?! Oh this is going to be old school isn’t it?!" Vanessa continued: "Ekin-Su’s going in, she’s great! Isn’t she?" She went on to quickly add: "If they’re right! I think it’s going to be a fantastic cast and it’s going to be great!"

CBB hosts Will and AJ also joined the show, with Will saying of the rumoured line-up: "The thing I like about the suggested names is that it’s a good cross-section!"

According to reports, ITV bosses have splashed out an eye-watering £2million to confirm a string of high-profile names to make this year's show one to remember. But as usual, an ITV spokesman has claimed all names are simply speculation at this point.

It comes after CBB announced a change to this year's show - that viewers would be voting to save their favourite housemate, rather than voting to evict their least favourite, which was the case last year. The news was shared by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best in a video posted on social media earlier this week. It has also been announced this week that there will be two live evictions per week over the course of the series. Teasing the move, the show's co-host Will told the Radio Times during an interview recently: "We're gonna get double the time."

There had been some criticism of Big Brother's vote to evict approach last year, with it being suggested that "big characters" were voted out early. Other viewers, however, said that vote to save could lead to controversial figures going far.
