EastEnders star teases explosive Nish and Priya showdown after 'deep betrayal'
EastEnders' Nish Panesar and Priya Nandra-Hart could go head-to-head in a dark new feud, as "alliances are tested" on the BBC soap.
After months of Priya being Team Nish, it seems a "deep betrayal" and the testing of loyalty could result in a falling out between them. It could lead to a worrying showdown for evil Nish and "formidable" Priya, who have been allies in recent scenes.
Just this week we saw Priya alert Nish to Kat Slater's plan against him, while she also kept his own agenda a secret with her knowing he was using Kat. We've seen Priya supporting Nish when no one else has, even when everyone else turned their backs on him after Christmas.
But with Nish viewing Priya as an asset to have on-side and Priya keeping Nish on-side to keep a roof over her and her children's heads, it seems their respect for one another could be about to change, leading to huge scenes. Actor Navin Chowdhry spoke exclusively to The Mirror about what was ahead for the family, and he teased Nish and Priya could turn against each other.
Not only that, but he promised "awful" scenes ahead and that the Panesars would be tested. He explained: "Priya is a wonderful asset to have on-side but my goodness, what a formidable opponent she could be if it goes the other way.
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likeness"That is something that may or may not be tested." He decided not to reveal any more information on that but hinted it was on the cards.
Priya actress Sophie Khan Levy also spoke to The Mirror about the pair, as she explained why Priya was giving Nish the time of day. She told us: "I think Priya is a fierce mother and that's making her very drawn to being Team Nish, meaning team roof over her head, so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out."
On the family being tested, Navin went on: "There is more than meets the eye, and I think with respect to the Panesars there’s lots of alliances and allegiances tested. There’s betrayals that go deeper and a lot of double crossing.
"It gets very complex, it's a messy family affair that is developing further would you believe that was possible. There’s some messy and awful stuff coming in a good sense. Worse than we have already seen."
