Katie Price has had a go at Princess of Wales' uncle, Gary Goldsmith over his Celebrity Big Brother appearance.

It's claimed that Gary will join the likes of X Factor icons Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, as well as Colson Smith, Levi Roots and Love Isand's Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. Katie won Celebrity Big Brother in 2015 and didn't hold back when she talked about some of the people who might be on the show this year. She was chatting on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, with her sister Sophie, when she heard about the possible contestants.

Sophie said to Katie, "Kate Middleton's uncle [is doing it]," and Katie wasn't happy, asking, "Why the f***'s he in it, who is he?" Addressing another contestant, Lauren Simon, Sophie mentioned, "There's someone from the Real Housewives of Cheshire," and Katie fumed, "Right. Anyone can be a celebrity these days."

"The CBB team love him because of his link to Kate and the fact that he’s confident and loud and won’t hold back, he’s made it clear he will talk about everything and anything, and he’s pretty outspoken when it comes to Harry and Meghan," a TV insider told The Sun. "Gary also holds a deep affection for Kate and Wills and will be able to give a fascinating insight into what it's really like being related to the future King and Queen." The source went on to say: "He could be TV gold and ITV knows it. The deal he signed is for good money."

IT recruitment boss Gary, 58, is the younger brother of Carole Middleton, the mother of the Princess of Wales. He served as an usher at Carole's wedding to Michael in 1980. He also attended the wedding of his niece, Princess Catherine Prince William in 2011 as a guest. The show, which is set to air next month on March 4, will be hosted by AJ Odudu and her co-host Will Best.

And according to reports, ITV bosses have splashed out an eye-watering £2million to confirm a string of high-profile names to make this year's show one to remember. The show has been off-air for six years year but will return next Monday on ITV. It comes after the broadcaster revived Big Brother last year, following in the footsteps of Channel 5 who had previously taken over from Channel 4.

Past series of Celebrity Big Brother saw Gemma Collins uttering the famous phrase "I'm claustrophobic, Darren", David Bowie's death on the outside world sparking concerns that 2016 housemate David Gest had passed away and non-celebrity Chantelle Houghton fooling her housemates into believing she was a bonafide pop star.

The series is expected to last for around three weeks and it's understood that daily episodes will air between Sunday and Friday during that period. ITV has also shared that the live stream will also return, airing seven nights a week.
