Married at First Sight Australia fans think they've figured out why Ben is on the show.

In Thursday's episode, new arrivals Ben and Ellie tied the knot, but Ellie's cousin Jordan wasn't so sure about their match. At the wedding party, Jordan thought Ben was on the show for the wrong reasons and confronted him over dinner. He asked Ben what his job was.

"I do some tour guiding and I do my podcast as a hobby,' Ben explained. Intrigued by this, Jordan instantly responded: "Oh, you have a podcast? How many subscribers do you have?" But he didn't stop there. He continued to grill the 39-year-old, asking: "Why are you here? Are you looking for a long-term relationship?" Speaking to the camera, Jordan continued sharing his concerns.

"I can always see the red flags in people and I'm getting bad juju vibes," he said. "I just have it in my mind that Ben might be here for the wrong reasons." Jordan believed that Ben could have signed up for the reality show to become famous and promote his podcast. He decided to pull Ben aside at the party to question him more.

Jordan found out that Ben had tried to get on MAFS Australia before and had been asked about other dating shows, which made him even more suspicious. Jordan didn't hold back when he spoke to his cousin's new partner, saying: "I'm going to be completely frank with you. I have concerns that you might be here to promote your touring business, to promote your podcast you're just here for fame."

Ben didn't get angry and replied: "That makes sense why you've reached those conclusions. And if that does happen out of it then that's one silver lining. But if love happens out of it, great." People went straight to X, which was formerly known as Twitter, to talk about why Ben joined the show and they think Jordan is right. One person said: "Ben's answers are FAR from convincing. He's either incredibly laid back or just not interested in a relationship and there for other reasons."

Someone else agreed: "Ben, you're not helping yourself. I still don't like cousins, but Ben, are you here for your podcast!" Another person said: "Ben is not here for the right reason LOL". And another wrote: "Producer: Are you here for genuine reasons? Ben: Yes, whilst shaking his head no He is a fake in it for fame defo." Lastly, someone added: "Was just about to slate the meddling cousin, as there's always a family member that gets too fecking involved with the bride/grooms business, but the way Ben is answering them questions is making me sus now too."
