Sue Radford shares what Mother's Day is like with her 22 children
Sue Radford, the mum of Britain's biggest family, has shared she is in for a busy Mother's Day with her 22 children.
She will finally be able to sit back and relax on the special day, leaving her kids to take on the hours of chores due to so much washing. Sue looks forward to lots of cards and presents from her big family as all the kids always make sure she feels loved. "It's always a lovely day.
"I have breakfast in bed, which is usually made for me by the kids and then I'll open all my cards and presents," says Sue, who stars on the Channel 5 show 22 Kids and Counting with her husband Noel. The children help out by taking care of the laundry, and giving Sue a break. Then, they all enjoy a full roast dinner and end the day with cake and chocolate, reports OK!.
Sue has received sweet gifts before, like poems, candles, and sweets. Noel shares that the kids spend time making special homemade cards. But for Sue, it's not about the presents. "At the end of the day though, it's not really about gifts. I just love being surrounded by the children and grandchildren - that's what will make it special," she explains.
Mother's Day is always a special occasion for Sue and Noel, who are grandparents to 10 kids. One year was particularly memorable for Sue as it fell on Sue's birthday. She recalled the five boxes of chocolates and a Pandora bracelet she received. Despite the busy day, Sue wouldn't want to be anywhere else but home in Morecambe.
