Amazon has hinted at the possibility of a surprise leap year sale in the next 24 hours. Taking to X the retailer possibly implied that we could see discounts launch overnight, ahead of tomorrow's Thursday, February 29 leap year date.

According to Amazon's post, it means an extra day to get all of your essential (or a treat to yourself) shopping done. The post said: "It's a leap year which means an extra day of shopping. What's top of your Wish List?"

While there's been no confirmation, we've spotted a handful of offers which prove you don't have to wait around for an official sale. From £70 off Samsung's Galaxy smartwatch, a £59 Nespresso coffee machine, a £100 saving on Ninja's popular 10-in-1 multi-cooker air fryer or savings on viral beauty products from Elizabeth Arden and Calvin Klein.

Starting off with the sought-after worktop gadgets from Ninja and its multi-cooker slash air fryer device, Amazon has taken a huge £99.99 off. Originally £249.99 the fry, steam, grill, bake, roast and slow cooker is now £149. Staying in the kitchen, there's also a £49 discount on one of Nespresso's pod coffee machines.

The Vertuo Pop Automatic Machine has been reduced down to £59 from its original £100 price mark, and switching over from Nespresso's own site to the Prime retailer will save caffeine fans £20 as Amazon's beats its rival £79 sale offer. The only perk you'd get from going with its own site is you'll get 30 coffee capsules thrown in for free - 10 Altissio capsules, 10 Ginseng Delight, and 10 Melozio.

Samsung fans may also want to do a quick check at the retailer before opting for a rival deal as Amazon cut the prices of its Galaxy ZFlip5 handset, the now older S23 FE device, and its Galaxy Watch 4 smartwatch range. Personally, we think the Watch 4 4G device sticks out as the best value for £169 compared to its usual £239 cost.

Moving onto beauty, and we could be here all day if we listed all of the current spotted discounts, however, there are a few which will really bag you a value-for-money offer. Starting with the Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean 9000 Series which is now £170 off from its usual £319. The electric toothbrush comes with four C3 premium plaque control brush heads, as well as its special edition pearl-like colourway.

Elizabeth Arden skincare is a current huge feature in the discounts, with the popular Eight Hour Cream now £12 cheaper, while the brands White Tea body lotion and Eau De Toilette are also on offer. The Euphoria for Women Eau de Parfum by Calvin Klein may be the biggest perfume discount we spotted with £45 off the usual price, and it helps that it's a personal favourite.

Currys also has a number of deals running at the moment.
