Australian actress Rebel Wilson made the most of the scorching Sydney weather today as she hit the beach with her fiancée.

The Hustle star, 43, decided to soak up the rays on Bondi Beach with Ramona Arguma after speaking candidly about her weight. Sporting a mint t-shirt and black shorts with designer Givenchy sliders, Rebel carried a bag of supplies down to the busy beach, which is packed with people at this time of year.

After sheltering from the sun under a black umbrella, the Pitch Perfect star was seen rocking a black swimsuit, while keeping her shorts on, as she splashed about in the sea, wearing a baseball cap and some reflective shades. Ramona, who met Rebel in 2021, joined the actress in the bright blue water as she cooled off wearing a fetching sky blue bikini.

Rebel's beach day comes after the actress addressed her recent weight gain in a candid post on social media. The Senior Year star lost almost 80 pounds and reached her goal weight of 165 pounds a few years ago and seemed excited about making 2024 her "year of health".

However, taking to Instagram last month, she shared pictures of herself soaking in a hot tub on a boat, explaining in her caption how her busy work schedule has impacted her health. She wrote: “Working really hard has meant that, coz of all the stress, I’ve gained 14kg’s (30 pounds).”

While Rebel conceded she shouldn’t feel “bad” about the change in her appearance, she admitted it had still taken a toll on her, sharing: “It makes me feel bad about myself… it shouldn’t… but it does,” she wrote, before explaining why her work schedule has been so busy lately.

“I’m really proud of the work I’ve been doing on new movies and my memoir, it’s just been a LOT and I’ve lost focus on my healthy lifestyle,” she said. The star then opened the conversation to her followers, asking: “Anyone else going through the same thing?”

Following her honest post, many of Rebels' fans told her how refreshing it was to read, as one wrote: “Your body is allowed to be comfortable. Keep up with your healthy choices and fitness, but allow for the joy and little things that make you happy. At the end of the day, your weight and body don’t define you. We’ll love you whatever you weigh. I also struggle with this.”

Another told the actress her popularity wasn't reliant upon her looks, writing: "Everyone is proud of you, but we already loved you, didn’t we? No matter what size, you’re still beautiful and hilarious,” another Instagram user noted: “Everyone feels the same and no one cares... I love every movie you are in.”

Rebel is set to release a memoir, Rebel Rising, which promises to reveal a "whole new side" of her. Taking to Instagram, teasing the book, she said: “I can’t wait for you to read this. You’re going to see a whole new side of me,” she said. “Lots of funny stuff, and serious stuff... And hopefully you guys will love the book as much as I’ve loved writing it - although sometimes it’s been gut-wrenching and emotional.”
