Victoria Beckham has insisted she will continue to work with model Mia Regan - even though she just broke the heart of her son, Romeo.

The 49-year-old Spice Girl turned fashion designer is in the midst of finalising her upcoming 2024 Autumn Winter collection which she will show at Paris Fashion Week at the end of the week. But there has been family drama in the form of a break-up in the lead-up to the big event.

This week, 21-year-old aspiring footballer Romeo confirmed he had split from 21-year-old model Mia after a five-year romance. And while Romeo himself seems to be ready to move on, reports have suggested that Victoria has been the one sent reeling the most over the break up as she had such a close bond with the model.

Now it is being reported that Victoria hopes to continue working with Mia and to have her on her catwalk to help show off her fashion designs. And while many would be unimpressed if their parents pined for a former flame, Romeo is said to be cool with the fact his mum wants to hang out with his ex.

A source told the MailOnline: “Victoria absolutely adores Mia and she is really sad that she and Romeo have split… she has her own relationship with Mia and the two women will still work together in the future. They both love fashion and have had some ideas about what they can do together and that still stands. They have a really close bond and they love working together.”

The source added: “There is absolutely no awkwardness, it is all amicable. Even Romeo won't mind which is all very grown up, a lot of young men wouldn't be happy about such a situation.” Las week, Romeo confirmed their split, telling his online fans: "Mooch and I have parted ways after 5 years of love, we still have a lot of love for each other, and still hold a strong friendship and always will."

Mia has also issued a statement, writing in a post on the platform that the pair had "friendzoned each other". She however said that her and Romeo have "lots of love" for each other, with her adding that "love takes different forms". Victoria is keeping the female connections of her sons close - as she has also teased 24-year-old son Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz, will walk in her upcoming fashion show. On Tuesday, the mum-of-four shared a snap of herself posing alongside her 29-year-old daughter-in-law.

She wrote: "Pre-show prep and fittings in Paris!! Kisses @NicolaAnnePeltzBeckham xx" - sparking a frenzy of speculation about her upcoming show and theories that Nicola will be one of her main models. The photo showed Nicola wearing what could be one of the autumn-winter designs Vicky’s team have created.

The Spice Girl herself has previously explained that she is useless at designing herself. She confessed to The Independent in 2015: “I have a different way of expressing myself because I haven't had that formal training.”

And she went into more detail about her approach to designing in a chat with the New York Times. She said: “When I’m starting work on the collection, I just sit with my team and talk to them about what I like, what I find inspiring, what I’m desiring, what I want to wear, what I haven’t done before. We have fit models we work with, and we’ll either work the fit model or we’ll drape on a stand. I can draw, but badly. I think that’s okay. No one’s expecting me to do it the normal way. And that’s a good thing. But I do sometimes take all my clothes off and drape on myself. It’s just a bit more pleasant for everybody if we do it on models.”
