Georgia Steel is said to be stepping back from social media because she can no longer cope with the cruel trolling after even more vile threats were sent.

During the Love Island: All Star series, she was involved in a so-called love square with Callum Jones, 27, Toby Aromolaran, 24, and Tom Clare, 24. In the end, she and Toby decided to give it a go after catching each other's eye and the couple went on to finish in fourth place.

But the series provoked a number of nasty messages and she is the only Islander to have not posted since the end of the series in South Africa on February 19. Despite Georgia and Toby still going strong, she has decided to leave social media for a while and clear her head after being bombarded with taunts.

"Georgia felt like she needed to take a bit of an extended social detox, she was really quite shocked when she heard about the trolling she received while she was in the villa and wants to keep offline for a bit," a source told MailOnline. "It was a really horrible experience for her friends and family having to see such nasty comments and hate on her feed. She is really happy and in such a good place with Toby. She also knows she has had a lot of support online and is grateful."

Her social media team were reduced to calling out "vile threats" across the platforms when she was on the show last month and shared a statement on her official Instagram account. "The last few episodes have been difficult for us to watch, but what's far worse is the hate Georgia is receiving online," it read.

"It is a TV show and everyone has their opinions, please remember it's not real life! Sending vile threats and nasty messages and comments is totally unacceptable. Trolling is not OK. Georgia is a daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend, and these hurtful comments will not only devastate her when she leaves the villa but also deeply hurt those around her."

Those sending awful messages should probably be directed to new research, which has ranked the 10 most successful contestants who were dumped from the villa. It revealed Georgia has come out on top and, according to BestBettingSites.com, she is worth an estimated £3.2million and has an impressive Instagram following of two million.

After appearing on the fourth series of the ITV2 reality show, Georgia returned to Love Island Games and All Stars. She's also starred on Celebs on the Ranch, Celebs Go Dating and Ex on the Beach. She has collaborated with big online fashion brands including Missy Empire and I Saw It First. After Georgia, in second place is Jack Fowler with an estimated net worth of £2.9million.

Jack has a loyal following of one million and has transitioned to being a recognised musician with appearances for The Ministry of Sound - though he did win the spin-off Love Island Games. Georgia Harrison came in third place with a staggering 1.2 million Instagram followers and an estimated net worth of £788,000.

The Mirror Online has contracted Georgia's representatives.
