Golf's forgotten man Anthony Kim has once again revealed his swing to the world ahead of his LIV Golf debut this week - still donning a technique that even the great Tiger Woods had not seen before.

Kim has not played competitive golf since the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship, having gone into exile on the back of a string of fitness problems. Twelve years on though, the American will return to competition in Jeddah this Friday, making his debut on the LIV setup.

The 38-year-old gave fans a sneak preview of what they have been missing over the last decade, as well as what they can expect to see this week, after taking to the Saudi range on Tuesday morning.

In a clip shared by Andy Carter Golf on social media, Kim was seen going through his iron shot routine in practice, showcasing his synonymous technique that caught the eye of Woods after he first burst onto the scene around 15 years ago. Speaking about Kim's technique back in 2008, Woods said: "He's the only player I've ever seen that actually plays pretty much the entire bag choked up.

"It does provide a lot of control; you don't hit the ball as far offline. You hit the ball very straight that way. It's amazing that a lot of amateurs don't try and do that. They like to grip the club like in baseball, with the pinky off the club because some pros have taught them that if you grip the very end of the club, you get more whip at the bottom."

In the early stages of his career, a young Kim was compared to the 82-time PGA Tour winner after claiming three Tour events in two years between 2008 and 2010. Things however did not work out for the American though, after his following two seasons were plagued with injury issues.

It was thought that Kim would not play professional golf as well following his recent hiatus from the game, however it appears to pull of the LIV setup was too good to turn down for the former Ryder Cup stage. Rumours of a return began earlier this year, with Kim said to be in talks with both the PGA Tour and the breakaway league.

Kim has since decided to turn his attention to LIV, and was welcomed back to the golfing arena by the series' CEO Greg Norman. He oozes incredible talent," Norman wrote on X (formerly Twitter ). The world has seen it in the past and now it is an honour as Commissioner of LIV Golf to give the opportunity for this star to be reborn.

"Welcome back and to the LIV Golf family mate. The golf world has missed you." Unsurprisingly, Kim has reportedly been offered a cool pay package to join the breakaway league said to be up to £6 million, as he takes up one of the two wildcard spots alongside Hudson Swafford in Saudi Arabia.
