Jennifer Aniston engagement rumours - everything we know about mystery 'fiancé'
Jennifer Aniston has sparked engagement rumours after being spotted wearing a huge rock on her ring finger.
The Friends actress, 55, has previously said she would "never say never" about getting married again, and has now got fans talking about her dazzling jewellery at the SAG Awards. She was photographed wearing an eye-catching silver dress and a massive diamond ring on her left hand.
The Hollywood star has tied the knot twice and dated fellow famous faces over the years, including Paul Rudd, Vince Vaughn and John Mayer, but has managed to keep her more recent love life under wraps. Here, the Mirror takes a look at everything we know about her romantic links over the last few years...
Earlier this year, a source revealed that Jennifer had changed tactics in her quest for love and was moving away from well-known celebs. The source told Heat: "Jennifer has always dated actors and musicians, that's just been her type. Now, though, she's saying she wants to break her pattern, try something totally new and meet a guy who's the polar opposite."
The source said Jennifer is "open to a blue-collar type" and the idea of a man who "builds something with his hands" is "super-sexy" to the Friends star. They continued that she really wanted to meet someone who was down to earth and not in the industry. The source added: "She's done with the Hollywood guys. She can't deal with all the ego and pretentiousness."
Vanessa Feltz's ex slammed by fans as he breaks silence with laughing videoLast summer, an insider told Us Weekly that Jen wasn't actively looking for love. They said: "In her gut, Jen believes she'll eventually meet the right person." The source then added that even if she never finds love again, Jen "is fine on her own" and won't "beat herself up if it doesn't happen". They said: "She's happy, healthy and fulfilled by her career, family and friends."
In November 2022, the Golden Globe winner admitted she would "love a relationship" but claimed she had no desire to walk down the aisle for a third time. When asked whether she could see herself getting married again, she told Allure: "Never say never, but I don't have any interest."
However, she did confess that she was still open to finding someone as being single could sometimes be overwhelming. "There are moments I want to just crawl up in a ball and say, 'I need support'," she described. "It would be wonderful to come home and fall into somebody's arms and say, 'That was a tough day'."
Jennifer famously married Brad Pitt in 2000, but the couple split five years later in what became one of the most high-profile divorces in Hollywood. It later emerged Brad had become close to his Mr & Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie, who he went on to marry, have children with, and later divorce.
The Just Go With It actress then gave marriage a second go with actor Justin Theroux - tying the knot in 2015, only to separate three years later. The couple bought a house together, adopted a puppy and married in a romantic ceremony in their back garden before their shock split in 2018.
Then in 2021, Jennifer was rumoured to have a secret boyfriend and was linked to her Morning Show co-star Jon Hamm, who has since got engaged to someone else. Twelve months later, Jen bravely opened up about the heartbreaking years she spent trying to conceive.
She told Allure magazine: "It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would've given anything if someone had said to me, 'Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favour.' You just don't think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed."
Meanwhile, in 2023, rumours of chemistry between Jennifer and One Direction singer Harry Styles, who reportedly has a thing for older women, flew. Their 'flirty' messages apparently started when Jennifer reached out to Harry after he suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction and split his trousers in front of her during a gig in LA.
It came after Harry revealed that Jennifer was his first-ever crush. An insider told Closer: "The way Jen sees it, she'd be crazy not to have some fun. Harry's got a great sense of humour and is totally chilled, they're a great match on paper."
