Nick Knowles 'unrecognisable' as he shares reason behind totally new look
Nick Knowles has stunned viewers with his totally different look, leaving many not recognising the star.
The TV presenter, 61, made an appearance on The One Show on Monday night alongside Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden. He was there to talk about his latest show, however, host Alex Jones soon turned to the "elephant in the room". Nick looked unrecognisable from his usual appearance viewers have become accustomed to.
The DIY SOS star sported a much longer beard on the BBC show as Alex said: "There's an elephant in the room here. Nobody's talking about it. There's a new look, Nick, going on well." He replied: "There's there's two things with it. One is I'm not actually doing any filming for a while. I'm doing some writing and things and so I had the chance to grow a beard and actually, weirdly for men you get a chance to grow a beard, like, 'I'll grow one.'

And the other thing is a friend asked me to do some acting and years ago, long when... I've been in TV for 40 years now. When I started out, I started doing a bit of acting and I've been asked in-between. Now I've got a bit of space, so I've said yes to play a part."
Viewers took to social media where they were stunned by Nick's new look. One said: "Nick Knowles is totally unrecognisable." Another added: "Didn’t recognise Nick Knowles." Someone else commented: "Bloody hell, Nick Knowles! I could tell it was him by the voice, but when I looked up, I seriously couldn’t recognise him!!!" A fourth joked: "Wait... Nick Knowles was on #TheOneShow... missed it!"

Nick's fiancée Katie Dadzie recently gave an insight into their home life. The 34-year-old lingerie business owner took to Instagram to share photos from her birthday celebrations. She donned a figure-hugging brown patterned mini dress, which she teamed with matching over-the-knee suede boots in the snap taken in the mirror of their boudoir.

Mum-of-two Katie met Nick through their kids in 2019 but recently shared that she “actually didn’t like him very much” at first. She admitted she didn't know much about Nick and his TV career at the time and he didn't let her talk much.
They then agreed to go for a coffee and realised they had a lot in common, such as their love of cooking and history. However, Katie has been targeted by trolls over the couple's age gap. She has also faced cruel claims she is a ‘gold digger’ just after him for his money. Defending his other half on X - formerly Twitter - Nick hit back: “She [Katie] has degrees in two subjects, runs three businesses, is a mother of two, is wealthier and more successful than me and is intelligent and independent unlike the abusive trolls attacking her."
