Alec Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter trial for Rust shooting has been scheduled for July.

Jury selection is set to begin on July 9 and the trial will run from July 10 to July 19. Baldwin was indicted for involuntary manslaughter in January after the first set of charges were dropped in April.

These charges come after cinematographer Halyna Hucthins was fatally shot on the set of Baldwin's film Rust, which he starred in and was executive producer, in October 2021. Additionally, Baldwin was the one holding the gun that was fired at Hucthins. Baldwin plead not guilty to involuntary manslaughter on January 31.

ABC has learned of the actor's trial dates from the New Mexico's First Judicial District Court. The actor was allegedly practicing a cross-draw when the gun fired. The prop gun was supposed to have blanks but instead had real bullets.

The first charge was dropped due to questions regarding the Colt .45 functionality after Alec claimed he never even pulled the trigger. During the original FBI investigation, the Colt was broken, bringing the investigation to a further standstill after Alec's claim.

Experts Lucien and Michael Haag conducted a test to determine if the gun's trigger would need to be pulled for it to go off.

The report said: "This fatal incident was the consequence of the hammer being manually retracted to its fully rearward and cocked position followed, at some point, by the pull or rearward depression of the trigger."

"Although Alec Baldwin repeatedly denies pulling the trigger, given the tests, findings and observations reported here, the trigger had to be pulled or depressed sufficiently to release the fully cocked or retracted hammer of the evidence revolver," it continued.

After he was charged earlier this month, Alec's attorneys, Lukas Nikas and Alex Spiro, told The Mirror : "We look forward to our day in court."

The film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez, has also been charged with involuntary manslaughter. She has been accused of "mixing live bullets up with blanks" before the gun was handed off to Baldwin.

"We will show you, ladies and gentlemen, that by failing to make those vital safety checks, the defendant acted negligently and without due caution," special prosecutor Jason Lewis told the jury. "And the decisions that she made that day ultimately contributed to Ms. Hutchins death."

Amid the trial news, Baldwin and his wife Hilaria celebrated their 13th anniversary. Alec posted a tribute to his wife, including a picture from their wedding 13 years prior. Hilaria also showed off a picture of her getting her makeup done for their anniversary "date night".
