Ekin-Su and Davide locked in 'bitter feud' over Celeb Big Brother after split
Love Island winners Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti are at loggerheads over plans that one of them will star in the upcoming season of Celebrity Big Brother.
The couple met on ITV’s reality romance show in 2022 where they fell for each other and won the show - then embarking on a romance-filled relationship. But at the beginning of this year, the couple bitterly split - with accusations flying that one party had been unfaithful and an OnlyFans model stepping forward to slam rumours she’d had an affair with Italian hunk Davide, 29.
Now the reality hunk is said to be fuming that 29-year-old Ekin-Su has landed a new reality show role - as he wanted the slot for himself. Last year, ITV revived Big Brother five years after Channel 5 axed the long-running reality show. Following the success of the revival, ITV swiftly announced that the Celebrity version of the series would also be brought back.
Now a string of celebs have been linked to the new series - which is due to air on ITV from Monday 4 March. Ekin-Su is one of the names attached to the new show - meaning she will be back on screens fresh from a stint on the American version of The Traitors.
A new report has suggested Davide is fuming over the fact Ekin-Su is clocking up reality show appearances - and he allegedly wanted to land a spot in the Celebrity Big Brother house himself. A source told The Sun: "Davide was desperate to do CBB and had been plaguing ITV to get some face time with bosses in a bid to convince them he'd be the perfect fit for the show. Unfortunately, ITV weren't interested so didn't meet him - they always had their sights set on Ekin instead.
Corrie's Sue Cleaver says I'm A Celebrity stint helped her to push boundaries"When Davide got wind in the press that Ekin had signed up following their split, he was livid. He's always had some insecurities over her being a bigger star after Love Island than him, especially after she went on to land spots on Dancing On Ice and then The Traitors. His ego has taken a real bruising."
It would seem Ekin-Su will be joining a host of other celebrities when the show kicks off next month. Other names linked to the upcoming series include former X Factor judges Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne. Show bosses are reportedly hoping the pair’s legendary friendship with make for charming viewing as they reunite in the famous house - while Sharon’s brutally honest opinions are expected to push boundaries.
Former This Morning star Fern Britton is also tipped to enter the house - and she is expected to open up about her past friendship with disgraced television host Phillip Schofield. A source said last week: "She wants to show the public a different side to her — unscripted and unapologetic. She has a lot of stories to tell and she won’t hold back when it comes to her relationships with people like Phil."
