Jeremy Clarkson had to apologise on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire after fans yelled "fix" at their telly regarding an especially tricky question.

Something questionable occurred on the show that aired on Sunday (February 25), according to viewers. Dental surgeon Segun Olujide from Cardiff tried his best to bag a big cash prize in the competition. With solid effort and some support from the audience, he managed to reach £16,000.

However, when asked: "In which ocean are the Faroe Islands?" he found himself needing the 50/50 lifeline to eliminate two incorrect options. But as the Antarctic and Pacific sea choices vanished, leaving the Arctic and Atlantic, both host Jeremy Clarkson and Segun were taken aback. Before using his lifeline, Segun admitted that his initial considerations were these two answers.

A disgruntled fan vented on X (formerly knows as Twitter ): "The fixed 50/50 strikes again." Another viewer voiced similar scepticism: "The 50/50 is absolutely rigged on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire no one can tell me otherwise." A different fan advised other contestants against revealing their thoughts before choosing the 50-50 lifeline, adding that this was a prime example of how not to play the game.

Viewers of the beloved game show were agitated when a hopeful contestant committed a regular slip-up. A fan mentioned: "Only mention one that you think then mention one you don't as a 'red herring' so if that situation happens you know what to pick." Another voiced their annoyance: "How many times??? Don't give them two options when you're using 50/50."

A common mistake, according to an observer, was when the player revealed the two answers he was considering. "After all these years why have contestants not learnt to say 'I have no idea' before doing 50/50," another viewer stated. "The options always eliminate the one you're certain it's not." Unfortunately for Segun, the 50/50 did not prove helpful, causing him to request Jeremy's guidance.

Jeremy was equally unsure, although he surmised Arctic. Still uncertain, Segun called upon a friend whose guess was Atlantic, but without full confidence. Amusingly, Jeremy told Segun: "You are now in what is the dictionary definition of 'a pickle'." Despite feeling convinced that the right answer was Atlantic, the uncertainty from Jeremy and his friend introduced doubt.

Choosing to play safe, Segun secured his £16,000 instead of risking a potential loss of £15,000 by guessing. He admitted that his guess would have been Arctic, which turned out to be incorrect.

In a comforting note, Jeremy told Segun: "That was a tricky question and I'm sorry I wasn't any help, but there we are. It has been great fun having you here."
