Claudia Winkleman’s £1,890 Burberry coat is almost identical to £79 M&S version
Claudia Winkleman looked gorgeously chic when she returned to present the second series of BBC One show The Traitors.
The TV star, 52, had many fashion fans in a chokehold with the stunning designer pieces she wore on the popular gameshow series - including a timeless Burberry trench coat.
However, if you don’t have £1,890 to splash out on Claudia’s exact coat, we’ve spotted an M&S trench that looks incredibly similar for £79. Trench coats are undeniably stylish, and while Burberry is the go-to luxury brand for the iconic outerwear style, Marks & Spencer’s cheaper offering is just as amazing.
Back in January, Claudia’s long-time stylist Sinead McKeefry put together the ultimate winter-proof outfit, pairing Burberry’s double-breasted trench with a camel-coloured button-front cardigan, white poplin shirt and wellington boots.
The Strictly Come Dancing host shared her Traitors look to Instagram, as well as the caption: “We went a bit Inspector Gadget. Traitors continues tonight at 9.”
M&S wins high court battle with Aldi over design of Christmas light-up ginM&S Collection’s Cotton Rich Belted Longline Trench Coat is a much more affordable way to copy Claudia’s look, costing over £1,800 less than the Burberry version.
Trench coats are wonderfully versatile and will see you through pretty much every season.
With its regular fit, double-breasted front and longline design, the M&S coat is super-similar to the Burberry Heritage trench worn by Claudia. It has full lining for comfort, smart epaulettes on the shoulders, buttoned cuff straps and a detachable belt - much like the designer version.
You can currently snap up Marks and Spencer’s Cotton Rich Belted Longline Trench Coat in “buff” beige or black, with sizes ranging from six to 24. It’s also available in petite sizes.
In a five-star review of the coat, one M&S shopper said: "Very flattering coat. Looks more expensive than what it cost."
While another penned: "Love this trench, dress it up with a suit or casual with jeans, I wear mine with adidas trackie bottoms and sambas for that it girl vibe. A versatile coat that will see you through many seasons."
But someone else wasn't impressed with the length of M&S's coat, saying it was "too long" on them.
