Experts share 'luckiest' numbers in EuroMillions history and rarely drawn digits

The odds of winning the jackpot on the EuroMillions is around one in 139 million - meaning you're theoretically more likely to be struck by lightning (apologies to any mathematicians offended by this simplistic logic). But, determined Brits live in hope for a truly life-changing win - that has exceeded £184 million in the past.
Many of us already have our lucky numbers - perhaps your birthday date or the day you first met your partner. But is there any strategy for drawing all five main numbers two lucky stars?
Betting brand Gamingtec has analysed the most frequently drawn numbers in the history of EuroMillions to reveal the 'luckiest' numbers. Of course, these statistics bear no advantage for future draws, but it's certainly interesting to see which numbers have helped Brits bag their jackpot the most.
The number 21 takes first place - having been drawn a staggering 98 times. This is followed by 20 and 23, which have made 94 and 92 appearances respectively. Frequent pairs include 23 and 32 - which have been drawn together 16 times - whilst the triplet of 17,23, and 44 has made its presence known four times.

Then, there are numbers that are long overdue - like number 1 which hasn't graced a winning ticket for a whopping 173 days. Number 22 has also been AWOL for the last 138, while number 11 hasn't been drawn for 110 days. Maybe it's time for these numbers to make a triumphant return?
"While the allure of patterns in past draws is undeniable, it's essential to approach EuroMillions with the understanding that each draw stands alone with equal odds for every number," a spokesperson for Gamingtec said. "The most and least frequently drawn numbers can add a fun dimension to choosing your numbers, but they shouldn't overshadow the joy of the game itself.
The company stressed these statistics should not be used as a 'definitive guide' - adding: "Play with optimism, enjoy the thrill of anticipation, and remember, the real excitement lies in the shared hope and dream of what could be, not just the numbers on your ticket."

Last week, the ex-husband of EuroMillions winner Debbie Nuttall, took his shot after joking he'd happily receive some of her winnings. Paul Ridge hadn't seen his ex-wife for 30 years but noticed a woman who 'looked familiar' on the news holding up a cheque for £61 million.
He says they tied the knot in a register office back in 1992 but split just weeks after. Now, the delivery driver and his current wife Paula has wished his old beau all the best - adding: "She can donate some of her winnings to me, if she likes. I'd be very grateful!"
The dad of two says he has no 'hard feelings' about the relationship ending, stating 'we all make mistakes'. "I wish her all the best," he said. "Nobody died, it was no big deal, really. Good luck to them. I'm sure they will enjoy themselves spending it."
