Ellie Goulding pictured snogging surf instructor 24 hours after addressing split
Ellie Goulding has appeared to have moved on from her husband, Caspar Jopling, after photos showed her packing on the PDA with surfing instructor Armando Perez while on holiday Costa Rica this week.
The 37-year-old singer was shown frolicking in the sea with Perez, sharing passionate kisses, less than 24 hours after she posted a statement on her social media which addressed the status of her four year marriage. In the statement, the musician revealed that she had separated from Caspar. She wrote: "In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago.
"We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our sons best interests at heart. We are committed to protecting our family privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes - we won't be commenting further. Thank you."
Following months of speculation about her relationship with Caspar, Ellie has well and truly put it to bed with her statement and the photos showing her kissing Perez as she looked to be starting the next chapter of her life. Perez runs the $70-a-night Le Puente Surfhouse and hostel with his brother Gero and have 'wave of the day' lessons starting at $50 for those who want to get to grips with the ocean.
This is Ellie's second trip to Costa Rica this year with it being reported that she may have met the surf instructor during a previous visit, earlier in January. The surf instructor has been mastering the waves at Playa Hermosa, close to the border with Nicaragua, with him stating on his website: "I have been surfing since I was a child. The waves of Playa Hermosa are my home and I am a very good host’, he wrote on his website."
Mum's touching gesture to young son who died leaves Morrisons shopper in tearsIn the photos, Ellie is seen without her wedding ring, with reports that she separated from art dealer Caspae around six months ago, with the pair sharing a two-year-old son, Arthur, who they are co-parenting. They are now looking to confirm their divorce as they move on from each other.
Caspar has also shared a statement on social media, in which he addressed his split from Ellie. He wrote: "Hi people - hope you’re having a good day. I feel (sadly) that I need to say something on mine and Ellie’s current relationship.. that I hope more than anything will make any final tabloid speculation disappear.
“Ellie and I made the decision to separate some time ago. Our immediate family and close friends have known for some time - otherwise we chose to do what we could to keep this private. Ellie and I remain the closest of friends and, most importantly, ‘co-parents’ to the best kiddo in the world, Arthur. This is the last I want to say on this - and please ask that you respect mine and Ellie’s privacy. Thanks a lot. Caspar.”
