A woman has shared her outrage after an 'entitled' passenger shoved her reclined seat back into its upright position after she tried to stretch out on her lengthy plane journey. Explaining the incident on her TikTok channel, the travel influencer, who has more than 50K followers, said in the clip: "Y'all this girl just shoved my seat forward and said I’m not allowed to recline for my 10-hour flight because it’s too much for her. What do I do?"

But Taylor Futch, 26, probably got a shock at some of the replies to her moan, as many sided with the other passenger. The Gen Zer, from Ocala, Florida, did get some backing on her original clip, with one saying: “Y’all are insane… if I paid for a seat that reclines [I’m going to] recline it!!! And if the person behind you recline their's also… they have the same amount of room." But another said: "Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. I wouldn’t like it if someone done it to me so I don’t do it to them", scolded a commenter in support of the disgruntled flyers sitting behind her.

In a subsequent explainer video once she had got off the flight, Futch said: "We’re up in the air, this girl and her boyfriend are behind me with her mum. 'I’m like, ‘alright, it’s a safe altitude, I can put my seat back'." But her bid to relax was quickly halted by the shove from the fuming passenger behind. She added: "I was like, 'What that f***?'. "I’m on anxiety medicine, I’ve had lots of wine. I was like, 'b****, what? Like, let’s go'."

And the comfort-craving woman then claimed her rival’s mother then said the girl would be "uncomfortable" with a reclined chair squishing her for the duration of the flight. Futch went on: "It’s a 10-hour flight, I want to get comfy, I’m exhausted," adding that her in-flight foes continued "throwing a fit" until a stewardess was called to help solve the argument.

The flight attendant asked her to put the seat up for food service, which the influencer did "to be respectful", but Futch claimed the cabin crew member then rolled her eyes at the argument and the 26-year-old said: "I was like, 'honestly, f*** this'. The entire flight, I kept pushing the button and pushing my seat back because [the other woman] was inching it forward the entire f*****g flight – it was so annoying. You should be able to recline your seat on a 10-hour flight. I told her, 'if you want to be comfy, get first class'."

And the traveller found that she had far more support on her second post, with one person saying: "You were 100 percent in the right,” while another said: "I will always recline because that’s the ONLY thing I get with my cheap coach seat." Another fan said: "You deserve to be comfortable. Recline or don’t recline it’s up to the seat holder. My comfort is MY COMFORT!" But another warned: "If someone reclines on me I can't open the tray or reach my bag. Flying economy is difficult enough without someone pressing their seat into your face."
